Glasner will have better options by staying at Palace and biding his time. Forest are in danger of becoming a circus with the owner they have, someone like Glasner doesn't need to take that gamble.
This is all sensationalised by the media btw.

We are anything but. Ambitious owner who refuses to be pushed around by the league or FA (as evidenced by the case we won last week).

Solid board/back room, with astute recruitment and money being invested in the club, ground, local grassroots and other ventures (netball team etc) and charitable organisations.

The club has improved as a whole, exponentially in the last 7 years or so; if that’s a circus, then long may it continue 🤷🏻‍♂️

Am not sure they would know which direction to throw it. Apparently under Southgate 8% of throws were long. Under Tuchel it is 4%.
According to Tuchel,
Quote
I told you - the long throw-in is back," Tuchel said. "But we do not have a lot of time.
When did he start the job. Last week 😖.
Long throw should be the same as a corner. No one moans when corners are put into the box, in fact most people moan about short corners!

Whilst I agree, people said the same about firing cooper, and look what happened. Marinakis is a smart man and wouldn’t have taken the decision lightly (otherwise it would have happened straight after the West Ham defeat or in the day or two following).

He’s delivered on every promise he’s made so far, so as fans we have to trust he’s done it with the right intentions and back whoever he brings in.

I’m most annoyed as I was just about to get an earlier night last night when it broke and ended up being awake til 1am ffs 😆

How much of all this is down to Edu coming in and wanting a “different” brand of football

Forest before Edu recruited well and you were playing well last season , something happened towards the end

He maybe a smart businessman and he has done well but even smart businessman make poor choices and there have been many in football

Going from Cooper who did well with getting the team up to a manager who had shown he can perform in the prem was a smart move

Getting rid of that manager that has shown he can perform in the Prem might not be the smartest - even more so after 3 games of a new season with a lot of new players

I don't know whether it's the brand of football - but Nuno certainly wasn't happy with some of the signings. Allegedly, unhappy with Edu rejecting the request to sign Traore....but we signed Dan Ndoye and Bakwa instead, so I can't really be too upset if that was the case?

Also, regarding EM being trigger happy...It's really not true at all.

On the basis that Ange was sussed by year 2 of his Spurs tenure, does that worry you?

If he plays the same way, how will it be different just because the club is different?
A very good question....

but Nuno was terrible at Spurs and took us to Europe - so stranger things have happened. Different squad, surroundings etc who knows.

What I DO know, is we're now guaranteed a trophy next season. 🥳

I'm not enamoured by the appointment, BUT can't do much but get behind him and pray each night for our squad's hamstrings.

As I've said before, Marinakis hasn't got a lot wrong - and every manager he's bought in, outside of Hughton, has improved us, even if it's just a marginal improvement.

And that shows to me the owner has just looked at Ange winning a trophy and being seen as an “attacking manager”

That doesn’t look on paper a very harmonious relationship with what we have seen from Ange in the past

Sacking Nuno and bringing in Ange - strange

I'm not worried about the relationship between Marinakis and Ange - they already know each other so Ange knows what he's about.

He's also not as stupid as "oh he won a trophy, so he must be good". He'll know about the backlash he got for not changing his style and all the other negativity he garnered at Spurs. They've not rushed into the decision, so there must be something to it and conversations will be had.

Nuno, sadly, didn't give him a choice with his very public comments, essentially belittling the club and how it's being run. He engineered his exit in very similar ways at Wolves AND in Saudi, so Nuno's definitely not squeaky clean in this whole mess.

It’s going to be interesting to see if Ange learned any lessons

I enjoyed watching Forest last season , they were lethal on the break and took the game to the opposition regardless of who they were - it didn’t seem negative football to me , Nuno got a lot out of players that had been cast aside and there are some good players within that squad

Interesting season ahead

It’s never dull being a Forest fan! 🤣

We’re absolute box office. Said it before, if Amazon or similar did a fly on the wall documentary about us, it would be the greatest piece of television in history!

that's the big thing isn't it. If Ange has sat back and reflected on what went wrong at Spurs and is willing to adapt moving forward, then it could be a successful appointment. He plays a very attacking form of football with plenty of goals...but that high line makes me nervous haha.

Nuno's football wasn't necessarily negative, but when you've got less than 30% possession on average, it relies heavily on pace for 90 minutes and ultimately it's why we ran out of steam towards the end of the season. We weren't really very creative moving forward when we had the ball and were trying to work it into the goal. Everyone knew it wasn't sustainable long term.

Which is why we've bought in A LOT of exciting, attacking players which Ange could probably get a lot out of with his style of football - and I'd argue that we are more solid defensively than Spurs were. So I'm reserving judgement until he's been here 5 minutes - because if he can find a balance, we might actually do OK.

From the article from John Percy in the telegraph this morning - seems that even Nuno's staff thought he'd gone too far with his public comments, which says a lot.

Yep. Not a Postecoglou fan but, if he gets a few more goals out of our attackers without ballsing up what was largely a good defensive unit last season, it might not be a disaster.

The injuries are the only thing that concerns me.

He finished 5th in his first season then had a thread-bare squad due to injury and clearly prioritised the Europa league over the premier league which nearly cost him.

IF (and it's big if!) the team can stay reasonably healthy (mostly our CB as I don't want to rely on Morato :D), the players we've bought in this summer are absolutely MADE for Ange-Ball and we could be very, very good.

It could also be a complete mess and he'll be gone by Jan. It'll be one or the other, nothing in between.

So Ange confirmed - guess the owner was waiting to confirm Ange was going to take the job before sacking Nuno ?
Seems so - but still seems odd that it's taken to nearly the end of the international break to sort it out - clearly not wanting to rush things without making sure everything's sorted on both sides.

At least he'll have a full training week with the core squad. Be interesting to see who starts against Arsenal. Either way, it's a bit of a free hit I think.

I like Ange and think he should have been given a season after winning the trophy

It potentially a very good appointment if as people have said he had learned from what’s happened at Spurs

Pretty much sums up the way I feel about it. It’s either a master-stroke or it’ll be a disaster!

Wouldn’t have been my choice, but I’ll reserve my judgement on the man for now and get behind him 100%.

Defo staying off Twitter for a couple of days though! 🤣🤣🤣
