It seems even more of a mad rush these days

Hopefully you do get Elliot as think that’s a good place for him to flourish

Spurs have grabbed Kolo Muani

Forest sign Bakwa

And looks like We will get Guehi with Palace signing two CB’s and a forward

Liverpool have spent absolute mega money this window, great business and all good players IMO but the prices are mind boggling!

Brave call to go for someone untested as opposed to Prem experience
I guess you could say that about any signing, when a player is bought from outside the Premier League, especially younger players. I'm guessing Alisson was somewhat of a risk as well, when Liverpool signed him. I believe he was in his mid-twenties at the time, and had not yet made 40 (league) appearances for Roma yet?

Sure, Martinez would have been an intriguing signing for Man Utd, and he may well have given us that authority we need at the back. That being said, others have mentioned some of the more negative aspects of Martinez as well, so he wouldn't be risk free either (age, mistakes, would his personality be a help or hindrance?).

I suspect Utd have elected to go for Lammens because they've realised it will cost them £18.1 million, and that feels like a relatively low fee, and one that they can recoup if things don't go as well as planned (or at least not take a big hit). Maybe his wage demands are a lot less than Martinez as well? I'd have been a lot more concerned if Utd had decided to buy Lammens for £90 million, when they could have got Martinez for a lot less.

Huge risk IMO, 23yrs old and has only played in the Belgian league. I wasn't convinced about getting Martinez either but in the circumstances I'd have tried for both, Martinez for the present and Lammens for the future. I worry about his confidence levels if he's thrown straight into the first team and things don't go well. That said it's a pretty low bar at the moment......

Totally agree.

A huge gamble in a real problem position.

Don't really understand the Muani signing. I'm sure I saw Frank asked the other day about signing a striker and he basically said no, he was happy with 2 strikers and having 3 creates a problem. So I guess he was signed without Frank's knowledge? Maybe Richy will go back to the left or maybe Solanke is on the way out.

Chronicle reporting Frankfurt have bid £30m for Osula and Howe has sanctioned it. In effect, you have paid £25m for Wissa :D . Sounds much better now, if it goes through.
Should bite Frankfurts hand off I'm afraid.

Sadly Osula hasnt shown much other than an ability to run around energetically. I watched him in the U21's for Denmark this summer and he just lacked tactical acumen and an understanding of where to make runs or position himself. Seemingly Howe was trying to give direction to him on Saturday evening in the Leeds match without success. £15 million profit in a year...wish him well and send him on his way.

That’s seems a heck of deal

Looks like we have got Guehi done now

It’s a remarkable window

Read somewhere that Solanke might be out for an extended period so they wanted more cover?

It’s normally very quiet for us

But this time it exploded over night and then finished with a bang

Not sure but seems like a lot of signings today , a lot more than usual

Chelsea signing a player on loan for a season is a strange one
I’m sure if he goes back his family tree and digs in to his ancestry, he’ll find out Chelsea already own him…

It’s very strange

They have made some good buys in Pedro and Delap

Replaced a half decent winger with a half decent winger ( Garnacho and Madueke )

Another two wider players in Gittens and Estevao

Again a good amount spent but hard to see the stand out players for the money spent

It’s all gone a bit awkward at Palace

Manager doesn’t want Guehi to leave , owner doesn’t want him to leave on a free next summer

Seems manager threatening to walk if Guehi is allowed to go

Igor decided to go to West Ham because he was worried about the amount of playing time he would get
