He's a tap in merchant. Nothing more, nothing less. Not sure why you think it's paranoia? He's gone from being the foremost respected transfer source, to spending half his time spreading rumour and speculation.

I wonder if all the Inter Miami players will wear "Suarez 9" shirts before their next game
Does he ? He seems to get a heck of a lot right
TF the Isak pantomime is over. Hadn't really considered how I'd feel when/if the deal went through but having read the news this morning my reaction was little more than...meh.
Now Newcastle can focus on re-building harmony and positivity within the club and now have a clear path forward, free of the fog created by Isak and his acolytes actions.
Get a couple of deals over the line for another forward and a defensive midfielder today and it will have been a fantastic window in terms of strengthening the squad depth. Get the new CEO and Sporting Director in place in the next month and then we can look to the future, learn from this debacle and ensure it never happens again.
If Liverpool had offered £130m at the beginning, it probably would have been. There was a domino effect waiting to happen and Isak was the starting point. You went in low, Newcastle were never going to accept £110m, based on current transfer fees.Looks like a fee has been agreed with Brentford for Wissa
I’m wondering if this could have all been sorted weeks ago
Went in low with an opening offer and were told the conditions including “we need to get more players in” which they hadn’t managed. If Liverpool had offered £130m at the beginning, it probably would have been. Donnarumma to City looks like it is happening. Stuffs Trafford. He could have been no 1 at Burnley or Newcastle, he is going to end up as no 2 at City.
My response was related to why this is happening on the last day of the window. It could have happened earlier but Liverpool chose to bid once at a low figure and then higher overnight. If they had followed up with a higher bid earlier it probably would have been over much sooner.Went in low with an opening offer and were told the conditions including “we need to get more players in” which they hadn’t managed.
All teams submit opening bids expecting to go higher. I’m not sure why this is a problem in this transfer?

If the reported fee of £55m is correct, that's brilliant business by Brentford.
As Delboy said in OFAH "Why not just do what I did? Find yourself a couple of plonkers with cash on the hip."
That’s mentalLeverkusen have sacked Erik ten Hag. He’s been in charge for 2 games![]()
And yet last night they did bother..........They prob would have got to £130mil but Newcastle were adamant he wasn’t for sale so they didn’t bother
Things can changeThe good news is Real Madrid don’t pay out big fees and Barcelona can’t afford to anymore![]()
The club weren’t going to make any bid if Newcastle were very clear he wasn’t for sale and that was the message they were getting - it seemed clear they were only selling when they were getting someone in firstAnd yet last night they did bother..........
The mood music was pretty clear, has been for a few weeks. If you had come back with a better offer he would have gone. I agree, at the beginning of the window he was not for sale but the player going on strike, being a posion within the club, that changes everything.
