I'd say Marinakis is a big reason why Forest have become quite a universally disliked club amongst other fans.

But, I'm an outsider and so I guess I don't know an awful lot about Forest. It seems Forest fans are very defensive about him and the club. Big reason why Forest have become the saviour of football, standing up for the game when other clubs stay quiet, etc.

Personally, I still thinks he comes across as an arrogant bully, and it is hard to find anything to admire about him.

Yep. Fans of certain other clubs are worried sick about him upsetting the status quo they’ve been accustomed to. 😉

Seriously though, I’m not sure we are that disliked by fans of other clubs as a whole. And if we are, we possibly quite enjoy the “us against the rest of the world” kind of feeling. Don’t think we particularly care about being liked. Why would we? Does anyone give a stuff what other fans think of their club? The Man Utd team of the 90s was famous for being hated by everybody else and all it did was boost player, club and fan morale. (I’m not comparing us to Man Utd of the 90s, before anyone jumps on that! Simply using the example.)

As for the way Forest fans feel about Marinakis. Just over four seasons ago we were rock bottom of the Championship. We are now playing European football and have done some excellent business this window, likely with more to come. After our playoff win, Marinakis stood on the balcony of Nottingham Town Hall and promised good times and trophies. We haven’t got the trophies yet, but there’s a feeling it’s an achievable goal in coming seasons. He’s also invested heavily in the city and various local charitable causes while he’s been here. So yeah - we are pretty happy with him and don’t particularly care what fans of other clubs think of him.

He’s no saint. He’s bat-s*** crazy in fact. But as much as people hate his pantomime villain character, I’d bet most fans would love it if he was their owner.

Seems like the owner is not happy about the style of play and the players coming in are to try and make the team more “exciting” to watch and players arriving and not ones that the manager picked

There is a reason the best owners are the ones you barely know. You appoint the manager, you let them get on with it. If you don't like the style of play, why appoint them? Managers rarely change dramatically so why expect them to? Your fault for appointing them if you are aren't happy.

Buying players the manager doesn't want won't end well, an owner interfering or wanting constant updates won't end well. Saying that, it's sort of worked for Chelsea but boy have they spent money to deal/ overcome the interference.

Anyway, Forest, it's fun for the rest of us to watch 😄

I think the constant whinging how hard done by you are definetly goes against you....

I need to get out more because I have not met one yet. Marinakis maybe a tit, but Forest, No.

One could actually say that Glaziers and Scruffy Jim is a big reason why Utd have become quite a universally disliked club amongst other fans.

Leave the Glaziers and Jim out of it.
They are doing a fine job and long may it continue.

I actually quite like Forest, had some great sides and players over the years but I do like having a friendly dig/banter with Don.
Might even buy him a roll of tin foil for Xmas his hat must need re-covering by now 😂

If Nuno goes all you have to do is hire Postecoglu and wait for his second season. :ROFLMAO:

I hope you’re not citing Rob Dorsett of Sky as your source for this info Arf, because he’s been a notorious ****-stirrer of everything Forest related this summer and I’d hate you to do anything but take what he says with a massive bucket of salt.

Anyway, Forest, it's fun for the rest of us to watch 😄

We’ve qualified for the Europa League mate, it’s bloody great fun for us too. 👍👍

Just to give you all an update (and sorry to disappoint the Mr Marinakis bashers) but there are reliable reports that Nuno has had a fall out with Edu, not Mr Marinakis.
