Personally I reckon we should go all in on the German youngster Woltemade...sod all these established named strikers....lets do something out of left field.
Woltemade is a former Bremen player so I know about him quite well.

He let his contract in Bremen expire where he played since youth because he "wasn't respected well", and apparently, or suddenly, he was always a Stuttgart fan because his grandfather was a fan of them.
Then after a few month in Stuttgart he didn't get a massive extension, "doesn't feel respected" and wants to go to Munich because, well, I think he found another Grandfather.

Now, his next grandfather might be a Newcastle fan if the paycheck is big enough. It's like a Milton Jones joke.

This all for a player who had about 5 good gams in years in Bremen (2 goals, but in the same game), 10 good ones at the tail end of last year in Stuttgart, and quite some success on international U21 level. He hasn't proven anything anywhere long term.
I am quite happy he left Bremen, shame it was for free and now he is suddenly worth big money.

Sounds just like the sort of player we need. :D

I thought he was going to Bayern ?

He looked a handful during the Euros in the summer
Well that was the report during the Euro's but there doesnt seem to have been any movement in that regard...if it was pre agreed I'd have thought it would have happened by now....maybe folks are just waiting for Newcastle to enter the bidding fray.

Of course he did, he wanted a big club to notice him. Bit different on a cold night up North when the backs are against the wall and you are in a scrap. That's when you see who are the proper players.

Reckon someone who has played over 100 games in Germany and for them internationally will be ok with a bit of cold

Shocking behaviour - a bigger club going on and ripping away a smaller clubs talent 😁

And in this case, the “smaller” club rejected it, as is their right to do. And everyone has moved on for the time being.

In other cases when this sort of thing has happened (can’t think of any specific ones), the whole of the footballing world has gone ape-shite at the “smaller” club for having the temerity to want to keep their player, called the integrity of the “smaller” club’s owner into question and made insults about his weight, farted out their ill-informed opinions on contract law and the fanbase of the “bigger” club has declared war on that of the “smaller” club, with a good number of them wishing an ACL injury on the player.

Who knows, maybe we’ll see that happen in the coming days about this transfer?

The really funny ones are mid sized club fans.

How dare the big club wanting our player. And how dare the small club not releasing their player to us.

Who has gone “ape shite” for a club keeping a player or wanting to keep a player ?

Surely not being a touch over dramatic there or judging by bedwetters on social media ?

There were plenty over the MGW saga Arthur, as you fully know.

I dare say your next move will be to attempt to drill right down into the minutiae of the absolute, literal, Oxford English Dictionary definition of the phrase “ape-shite” in an attempt to win this one. Just don’t bother, I really can’t be arsed with it.

Let’s be honest some of your fanbase are showing a mirror image of your own owner and all this “ poor little Forest” is getting boring - it’s why I think most hope that Palace win their appeal

But your club and prob owner do need to grow thicker skin and remove the chip of the shoulder

The hypocrisy is laughable

Nobody went crazy over the smaller club for refusing to sell MGW?

Where the smaller club was criticised, is when they spat their dummies out about the bigger club knowing about the release clause of the player. As if the release clause is meant to be some big secret. In terms of keeping MGW, everyone will say "fair enough, well played" to the smaller club. Except maybe the odd Spurs fan will shed a few tears and a bit of bitterness.

As I’ve said here before. I genuinely don’t give a stuff about the Palace appeal and I really don’t give a stuff what you or anyone else thinks about it. It is literally nothing to do with us and the only reason we have been dragged into it is because we are the potential beneficiaries. Pinocchio Parish has pulled the greatest PR trick in history by convincing his own fanbase and the wider football community that it’s all Nottingham Forest’s fault and is nothing to do with his and his club’s own incompetence.

When this all first broke, Forest fans genuinely wished Palace all the best with it. But the sheer amount of mud that has been slung our way by Palace fans and others has made that sympathy for their plight evaporate.

If Palace do win their appeal I am sure you will be first on here to repost the breaking Sky Sports tweet and gloat about it, so good luck to you if that’s the case.

This should never have been about Palace versus Forest. It should always have been about Palace versus UEFA. We weren’t the ones who made it about us. Whatever happens at this point, we can’t win. Because if Palace win it’s “Ha ha, Forest have lost” and if they don’t it’s “Poor old Palace, nasty old Forest”.

As said, I don’t give a stuff where Forest end up. I’m just very happy to see my club playing European football in any form.

And as has been revealed since the incident, the “smaller” club was 100% in the right because Levy did not fulfil the terms and conditions of the release clause.

Tell me, when Crystal Palace did EXACTLY the same to Chelsea over their Michael Olise approach, did you or many others accuse them of “spitting their dummy out”? Doubt it, but happy to be proven wrong.

Unsurprisingly your owner got your club involved in the situation

It will be excused like all his actions
