Keep yer hands off! In my opinion he's developed in to a better player than Caicedo.
He looks a very good player - he can come to Liverpool next season
Or maybe a swap plus money for Elliot

I don't understand why Newcastle don't get the Wissa deal over the line. 19 PL goals last season, in his prime at 28. Cheaper than the others they have been bidding on, no one else is going for him. Get him, along with Elanga, Ramsdale and a CB, good window. Two years ago I offered up the name of Jackson in our prediction league thingy of "best signing".
Maybe I was a bit early? His name doesnt fill me with joyous glee though when i hear it being touted as a player Newcastle might sign.
at least Forest have submitted a bid.
Shocking behaviour - a bigger club going on and ripping away a smaller clubs talent![]()
Saw an interesting piece on the BBC website about how Utd have agreed terms with each signing this summer before putting a bid inat least Forest have submitted a bid.
i think the word is CAN'T.I don't understand why Newcastle don't get the Wissa deal over the line. 19 PL goals last season, in his prime at 28. Cheaper than the others they have been bidding on, no one else is going for him. Get him, along with Elanga, Ramsdale and a CB, good window.
Its because they are scared of public rejection...would look bad for their image...a bit like being too scared to walk across the school playground to ask a girl if she'd like to go out with you in front of all your (and her) mates.Saw an interesting piece on the BBC website about how Utd have agreed terms with each signing this summer before putting a bid in. How on earth?
It's pretty straight forward.Saw an interesting piece on the BBC website about how Utd have agreed terms with each signing this summer before putting a bid in. How on earth?
To be fair, Forest are keen on him, but Brentford hate us after we wouldn't sell them Brennan Johnson for pennies and he's keener on Newcastle.I don't understand why Newcastle don't get the Wissa deal over the line. 19 PL goals last season, in his prime at 28. It's the absolute definition of tapping up though. I think we all know that clubs speak to players / agents before bidding but as long as that is exploratory I think that is realistic and okay. To fully negotiate terms with a player before even bidding, that's a step up.Its because they are scared of public rejection...would look bad for their image...a bit like being too scared to walk across the school playground to ask a girl if she'd like to go out with you in front of all your (and her) mates.
Corporate Cowardice basically.
It’s all down to agentsSaw an interesting piece on the BBC website about how Utd have agreed terms with each signing this summer before putting a bid in. How on earth?

What would the PL definition of tapping up be now or have they just given up?
It isn't ALL down to agents. Agents are a significant problem but clubs are clearly part of the problem as well, as players may be directly on occasions. It’s all down to agents
Tapping up was an accusation of a club speaking to the player before an official bid comes in?@Swango1980 the sequence is that the club asks permission to speak to the player, club speaks to player, club offers bid.
We know that agents quietly speak to buying club / buying club speaks to agents, before permission is asked for but that is a case of sounding out and that seems about okay. Actually getting to the point where you have full on agreed terms before even speaking to the selling club, that's another step completely.
What about getting Gibbs-White in??It sounds as though Maddison is out for the season. Great shame for him, I really like watching him play also. Tough to come back from a year out, hopefully he can manage it.
Would this tempt Spurs to go for Grealish on loan for the season? Similar sort of playmaker.
Don’t do that he’s a Spurs fan kick him whilst he’s downClearly, I was just trying to cheer @Orikoru up, give him some hope![]()
