If we got W&W and was able to add a CB, RB (Trips is coming to the end and whilst Livramento can cover for Hall at left back, there is no long term cover for him in his natural position) and a midfielder to give depth, then, even if Isak went, it could be be viewed as a positive window, with a stronger squad with greater overall depth.

Watkins and Wissa would be good but both late 20’s

Agehawa seems to have had a decent season and is still young

But Watkins and Wissa have shown they can score in the Prem

Can’t see too many issues with either player going to Newcastle - just need to agree a fee

Ask any Rangers fan....they hate him and he ruined their club.

His influence (as far as I can see), has been nothing but positive since joining Forest. I hope he stays, but I suspect the money at Newcastle will be more and very much appealing.
 
Interestingly...the only club to have had an offer ACCEPTED by Leipzig are Newcastle...seemingly an improved €82.5m + €2.5m in addons was made yesterday and accepted.

Man United still haven't actually had a bid accepted for Sesko....suspect Leipzig might squeeze a few more pips out of them before the saga gets concluded.

I struggle to see us selling Watkins now tbh, its later in the window and we'd find it hard to replace him at this stage.

The Dan Ashworth debacle and subsequent internal fallout when Paul Mitchell was appointed, has done far more damage than could ever have been envisioned. Currently the boat lacks leadership and experience and has largely lost direction. The removal of Staveley and her husband Mehrdad Ghodoussi also robbed the club of a lot of its soul and broke connections between the playing staff and upper management. It will take a couple of seasons to restore that, and I fear by then it will be too late, and the richly talented team that we have will break up over the next 18 months and we will be back to square one, stood outside the big boys playground looking in in awe...a once in a generation opportunity squandered.

The new Sporting director and CEO (when formally appointed!) have an awful lot of work to do.
