Just heard a Leeds fan on TalkSport passionately explaining how the Championship is so much more exciting to watch than Premier League, much faster play, etc.

And what was he basing this on? Because the Leeds v Man Utd game last weekend was so dull, 2 PL teams head to head, proves his point.

Brilliant.

I wonder how many dull games Championship sides played during their first pre season games?
So good that all the teams immediately get relegated back to it these days. They must be doing it on purpose because they enjoy it more there.

I heard this too... blokes in cuckoo land!

When we did 3 years in the Championship and came back up, it actually blew my mind how fast premier league football was in comparison to Championship - plus the quality of just every player, the touch etc.

I loved the Championship, its a cracking league, but its now miles back from the PL.

I guess what we have seen over the years is the Prem split into three different “comps”

The ones going for the title - mainly the three teams over the last 5/6 years

The ones for CL

The ones fighting relegation

The CL race at times is prob more exciting for most

Relegation battle is where the promoted teams mainly end and recently it’s been a bit of dead comp

Where as the Championship with the playoffs add a bit more excitement

The standard maybe higher in the Prem but for some they may prefer the Champ

I have a mate who is a Fulham fan. He has given his season ticket up.
He said being in the prem is boring, the main aim is just to stay up and they set up defensively in a lot of games and just hope to hit on the break.
When they were in the lower leagues they would try and attack against every team and the majority of teams against them would do the same.
He said it makes for a much better and entertaining game when two teams are fairly evenly matched and anyone could win the game.

Well I guess one of them didn’t earn their place in Europa Lge
By cheating (Henderson's handball) ;)

We'd have had Europa league otherwise.

(For clarity, I'm joking, I don't care which competition we're in at this point - I just want it sorted either way. But the way Parish has STILL not been made accountable AT ALL from Palace fans is quite something).

😂

I suspect the appeal won’t work anyway

Yep. I think Pinocchio Parish is an absolute A-hole of the first degree. But I can’t help but admire the way he has conned the entire Palace fanbase into believing that their situation is all Forest’s fault and is absolutely nothing to do with his incompetence.

You can’t help but applaud that. 👏👏👏

Anyone else watching the Germany Spain game and finding the sound so muffled that it’s difficult to hear the commentary over the crowd noise in the background?

Local news are saying the club is very relaxed about Isak. He has 3yrs left on his deal, they will up his wages, club are in the CL, they don't need to sell for PSR reasons.

Having seen the amount Liverpool have spent and the positions they have bought I can’t see Isak joining them this season.
I think the only chance is if a lot of sales are made and even then I would imagine a centre back and a wide forward would be higher on their list of priorities.
That’s presuming they sell the likes of Diaz,Nunez,Elliott,Chiesa and Konate.

I don’t think we or anyone will be signing Isak

If there was any chance he was available then we wouldn’t have gone in for Ekitike

We will prob be looking at a CB now and we need sell some players
