That’s a proper conspiracy theory if ever I heard one!

All I’m saying is that the CPS are not going to risk a potential prosecution for multiple rape by being in cahoots with a football club’s lawyers. It’s blatantly an abuse of process and, with respect, the suggestion is laughable.
I agree that it is laughable that the CPS would delay such a serious charge. Hence why it has become a talking point, because either something we wouldn't expect has gone on, or we have a very big coincidence.

Not just the fact his contract ran out, but the fact nobody tried to sign him, thus the future charge must have been known.

Could Partey's lawyers have somehow managed to fight and delay a charge whilst he was under contract (ensuring Arsenal couldn't terminate contract)? Then, once out of contract, his lawyers were happy for the charge to proceed, as it was then in his interest to try and get it over with ASAP. Thus, they stopped their delay tactics.

The timing does make it feel very convenient. I doubt there’s any form of conspiracy though. Probably something else that’s the mitigating factor. Perhaps the CPS wanted to wait until after the contract because of some limiting factor. Who knows.

If that’s the case ( and probably is ) that’s not great optics for Arsenal fc.
They could have just benched him but hey it’s football.😳

Greenwood wasn’t found guilty if I remember correctly but never got away with this .

Somthing stinks about this and the victims seem to have been forgotten!

Greenwood was slightly different in that there was an accompanying public video to sit alongside the allegations.

Partey case aside, when should clubs take action when allegations of his nature are made?

It's a nightmare for clubs. Everton lost a player and their value when allegations were made against them. They suspended them, charges were never followed through.

City had similar with Mendy, found not guilty.

It sounds simple to suspend but until the trial happens and they are found guilty, why should they be? Tough call.

A few clubs that have been involved in those situations have suspended players until the investigation is sorted - Greenwood, Sigurdsson, Mendy

Partey was arrested 7 times during the years to keep questioning him , hence why he wasn’t in the squad at all times

Arsenal ignored the morals and picked a player who was key to them even though they knew what was going on

That doesn’t sit right imo

And it’s why they didn’t renew his contract

If it wasn’t someone who was key to them they would have binned him off two years ago

Re Mendy
Quote.
Here's a more detailed breakdown:
  • Transfer and Contract:
Mendy joined Manchester City from AS Monaco in 2017 for £52 million and signed a six-year contract with an annual salary of £6 million, according to Wikipedia.

  • Legal Issues:
In August 2021, Mendy was charged with rape and sexual assault.

  • Suspension and Release:
He was suspended by the club in September 2021, and his contract expired on June 30, 2023.

  • Unpaid Wages Claim:
Mendy filed a claim for unpaid wages during his suspension, seeking around £11 million, according to ESPN.

  • Tribunal Ruling:
The Employment Tribunal found that Manchester City was justified in withholding wages during the period Mendy was in custody (approximately 5 months), but not during the periods when he was not in custody (approximately 17 months), reports BBC.

  • Outcome:
Mendy was awarded a significant portion of his unpaid wages, according to Blackstone Chambers.
Bottom line it became a nightmare for City. How can you play someone with multiple rape charges. City ended up paying out a small fortune to someone who was bottom line a clown for putting himself in that situation.
Re Arsenal agree the timing is very questionable but I don’t see any longer problems in being associated with Party.

So he was arrested 7 times but not charged?
It’s a tricky one, what happens if they didn’t play him & then he’s found innocent?

As for morals in football 😂😂

Watching the Welsh Ladies in the Euro Footy.

I dont want to be negative, but it's blooming awful. The commentary team telling me I'm watching the equivalent of the 1970s Brazilians doesn't help. 😉

Just say what you're seeing for goodness sake. They are working hard and still in the game, just be realistic.

If it wasn't for rashfords wages I'd take him in a heart beat which is a shame because he would never accept 150k a week for example.. yet it would ruin the dressing room bringing him in for 350k a week

Just to be clear, I have no real problem with Antony or Malacia, they're just not good enough.
The other three are pure poison.

Antony has shown proper professionalism throughout the process. He’s had a load of flak for not warranting the fee paid but he didn’t choose that fee and we massively overpaid as it was a panic buy at the end of the window. He’s offered a pay cut to get his move whilst you have Sancho and Rashford who seem to think they still demand a massive salary. Rashford has been for sale for 3 windows yet here he is, still at United. He’s embarrassed himself by flirting with Barca but they’re just not interested. Sancho is just a waster.

VAR also ruining the women’s game with England having the opening goal ruled out….

Yeah...thats laughable. There is no part of the English players body (that she can score with) closer to the goal than the French girls thigh. It's an awful decision.

Having said that, England just can't control the ball and are struggling (as they have for a few years now) to pass the ball to each other. French girls quicker all over the park with better technique, passing and movement.

Agreed, big difference from not being good enough & thinking you’re better than you’ve shown.
Garnacho is the worst.
