Totally gutted for their family.
It has really hit me that both he and his brother are younger than my own daughters. I have no idea how his parents, wife and kids deal with it, I don’t know I could.
My thoughts with all his family.

"Rivalries aside..."

The amount of times I've seen this on twitter in the last hour, if you have to type that out first you're a bit of a moron.
The incident shows the shocking disgusting vile idiots that populate social media

Some of the stuff that I have read on the clubs social media account from “rivals” is beyond the pale

But the accounts all are the same sort of accounts

Just sitting here with the wife and she's showing me a pic of his wedding photo with his wife. I can't describe how we both feel.
Yes I've seen that too.
From complete happiness to complete despair in less than a month.
Life can be dreadfully unfair sometimes.

Get were you are coming from, although I wouldn't be as overly critical on those people. I think it is just their way of saying "from a rival fan, you have my full support and sending all our love, rivalries only go so far". Not all fans are overly articulate

I just hope there are no really vile, nasty comments. But, I've no doubt there are, in the cesspool of social media. Such a shocking thing to happen, and it doesn't lessen as the news sinks in. I've no doubt the overwhelming feeling amongst fans of all football clubs is one of sympathy, love and support to Jota's family, friends, LFC and Portugal.
