He will be bought as a cheap back up GK
Has shown at Bournemouth he is a good GK , Arsenal don’t have a solid back up so getting one for £5mil does the job

It's probably because Arteta will insist that he wants two goalkeepers, and will be happy to sub them within games, plenty of rotation.Kepa to Arsenal.

Don't pretend to know details but I believe there has been (what sounds like) some creative juggling going on between the finances/player movements between Lyon and Textor's Brazilian club Botafogo.
Football finance is such a minefield.

He did- was young and wasn’t happy , had a great season last year with Bournemouth and season before at Madrid

You know Billy, I think if Chelsea had won and he saved the winning kick, a lot of that days shenanigans would be forgotten. But it still takes away from the fact the Manager Made a call to sub Kepa. He refused, everyone at the stadium knew what was going off and the atmosphere in the ground changed in that instant. No one telling me it affected the Chelsea players. It was a very strange event at the time.

They need to get rid of Onana first, as man Utd priorities really need to be in scoring goals. I said before, I'd happily accept 5 blunders from Onana (most goalkeepers make one or two throughout a season), if it means Utd can score 20-30 extra goals.
I hear rumours that Monaco are interested in Onana, but Onana wants to stay at Utd. And that Emi Martinez wants to join Man Utd. But, I attach no weight to any of it, as summer is silly season anyway, with loads of nonsense.

I wondered if that was overplayed a little bit and maybe due to crosses wires / language barrier. I seem to remember he went down with an injury, Sarri thought he needed to sub him off, but Kepa was saying 'no I'm actually fine' essentially. I mean it's not like you would normally want to sub your goalkeeper is it? Unless he felt the sub keeper was better at saving penalties, I don't know.
Bring on July 1st when the poorer clubs can start to spend their money. We need the PSR accounting period to end and start again. At the moment it is largely made up rumour with minimal end action.
