I wonder how Newcastle fans are viewing this game?

I mean, obviously they won’t “support” Sunderland. But surely there’s a bit of desire to get their main rivals back into the same league as them, so they have the two derby-days to look forward to…?

I'm surrounded by Newcastle fans and my experience this past week is that they would like Sunderland to be relegated to Div 1 if they lose today 🤣.

I've posed the same question to them and they look at me as though I'm stupid 🤷

Can’t see why they would want them in the Prem - suspect they would prefer them to be the lower the better

I see the FIFA President has suggested Ronaldo may transfer to a Club World Cup side before the tournament.

Why is the FIFA President getting involved in transfer discussions? Is he an agent now. Or is the World Club Cup going to allow a player for hire scheme, where players can sign for tournament, then go back to their normal club after?

He is out of contract this summer and clubs involved in it are apparently looking at him - with helping hand from Fifa

They are desperate to have him and Messi playing in it

I get that point, at face value. I mean, it’s great to see Derby being awful.

But there’s a part of me that would love to be playing against them twice a year (in the Prem rather than the Champ!)

Wouldn’t you miss the Everton game if you didn’t have it?

Always re runs to watch - but seeing them in the championship would be highly amusing

Really hope they hang on. Can't stand Sheffield united and it adds another derby to the league
