Don't really care about the optics some people choose to see.
His passion for Forest and Nottingham is obvious and seems as real as his passion for Olympiacos and Piraeus.
I didn't have that strong an opinion of him until I watched a short documentary and interview recently and did a bit of reading. What he does for the communities in his home and adopted cities is impressive. That would provide good optics but he doesn't seem to fanfare it; he just bankrolls it.
I like him. This negativity is just noise.

100% this.

All those criticising him over this incident can do one. His credit, as far as Nottingham Forest and the communities of Nottingham, is high enough for me and probably most Forest fans.

Personally I love the fact that he has a big presence on match days. He's always down the tunnel congratulating the players after a game. How many owners do that? The man is entitled to come onto the pitch after a game. Don't like seeing it? Tough titties.

It is more than noise when it’s ended up with sanctions towards the owner on numerous of occasions

It doesn’t take much for something to go wrong the next time he goes onto the pitch

Really? You'd not take Newcastles owners PIF over him?

Or City's who have managed to fight their way up to like 8 PL titles and avoiding charges left right and centre.

Might be dodgy money but they're solid owners.
Wouldn’t take either of Newcastle or City owners

I know you wouldn't :ROFLMAO: The LIV thread taught me that!

I don’t ever want to see the club state owned - and both of them in all but name

It’s a shame that we have gone too far to implement the German model in the Prem

FSG aren’t perfect and have made mistakes but there isn’t many I’ll swap them with , the club is on very strong foundations to strive without owner intervention

I rate our owners too, but its tough to discredit how good Mansour has been for City.

I love the German model, they do these things far better than us over there to be honest. They put fans first because of it too.

He has been good , he has the money to be good , but it’s all tainted as we can see by 115 charges etc - some just see the money signs and the trophies and ignore behind

German model is very good

Just look and see how much it costs to watch the teams over there

Oh I know, its silly cheap in comparison to over here! My ST this year was like £876, that'll be £920 next season (capped at 5% rise per year) I'm not in a premium seat, just lower Holte.

The most premium seat avaliable at Bayern this season - £810

Leverkusen - £410!!!

They also do need to have some very strong relationships with a bit sponser

Munich with Audi , adidas etc

I openly criticised him and still don't like the way he handles some situations at times - just because the whoppers like Carra and Neville use it as ammo against the club..... but I know deep down it's done from a place of care and that's why he's so passionate. And also, we seem to do better in the face of criticism and adversity, so it'll probably galvanise us for the last two games.

Forest this season have built a good team and a lot of people who support other teams want to see them do well - I want to see them get into the CL because they have deserved it. It’s a shame to see that they have tailed off - but European football will be great

Still got a chance though! Just! I'm staying hopeful until it's mathematically impossible. But win this weekend and it'll go down to the last weekend regardless.

Lot of noise about this lad being Trent’s replacement

Seems a good signing , decent fee and can also play higher up

As well as the lad from Bournemouth- could be two new full backs

He's been linked with the Prem for about 2 years now - our fans really wanted him last year!

Looks great to be fair, I'm sure now Xabi Alonso is leaving there will be some player departures too!

The release clause seems very low

Same with a few players we are linked with at the moment

Smart business!

We had Kamara and Tilemans on free transfers - both absolutely incredible players!

Always bargains out there to be had, some clubs don't operate like that though.... cough united cough

Again, though, if they are not 100% certain, they can't flag. If they did, and it was onside, they'd be crucified.

I appreciate it might have been miles offside (didn't see it), but sometimes even clear offsides are not clear live, as a fraction of a second earlier they might have been onside and the lino may not be 100% certain the exact position when the ball is played. I'd still say they are professional and trained enough to make the call better than 99.9% of the rest of us in any given moment.
Not 100% sure but I think he was the only one over the halfway line.

If the Lino can’t see that there’s a problem.!

But it’s the rules that’s at fault.

Need to start thinking about Salahs goals being replaced to be fair, you need a 25+ guy to be winning titles IMO
The amount of chances we make for strikers we need a CF who can take them .
That takes the weight off Salah and Diaz.

I’m sure a quality goalscorer will fill his boots in this side.
