You are missing the point- the phone (apparently) wasn’t owned by a fan. It was a new ggogle phone (google sponsor the club) and it was handed to Salah by a club employee. All pre planned.
I think you missed my point :ROFLMAO:

My quip was under the assumption that Google owned the phone, and Google would be the ones treasuring the photo

Does it really matter - it’s a great picture 👍

Looks like it was planned by Salah and something he wanted to do

Speaking to Optus Sport, the 32-year-old explained: “Since the beginning of the season I’ve always taken a selfie with the players [who scored], so this one I said ‘OK, I have to think of something special’, because this picture is going to be there forever.

“So I worked my mind a little bit around that idea and it was fine, yeah.”
What happened to be spontaneous and living for the moment? As sad as all those stupid dances the young players do.

He has created a moment for himself to reflect back on , he takes selfies with players who give him an assist or score from his assist after the game - this time he wanted to have one with the fans.

He captured the historic moment for him and created what’s prob going to be an iconic picture for a while now

It’s harmless and those in the picture behind him will be loving it

Please accept my humble apology, I appear to have inadvertently broken the 2 golden rules in this thread:

1. No criticism is to be aimed at Liverpool FC, its players, supporters or anyone associated with the club.
2. AW must have the last word in any discussion.

May the moderators show mercy on me, and only banish me for 5 years to playing golf with Donnay clubs and top flite balls.

That’s a disgrace slagging Donnay and Top Flite.😂

Another thing about yesterday.

There were big gaps in the City stands and one entire block that had no one in at all.

Now I know there are various reasons for that and I’m not gonna start digging at City for it. But what does frustrate me is that there was no need for those seats to be empty. If they’d been released to Forest fans instead, they’d have been snapped up in less than an hour.

If one club blatantly isn’t going to sell an entire block’s worth of tickets, surely they can hand them over to the other one?!
There’s been a big discussion about this on the City pages. The FA have had those tickets (blocks) for some time. There’s a lot has gone off at City re not going to Wembley. The day, time of kick off, return trains, traffic around Manchester Sunday morning. All of these things the FA should have known about. 👍
My lad who went said there was a bit of trouble after the game with the City and Forest “ fans” 70,000 walking down Wembley way after the game was not going to go down well ☹️
On a positive note, my lad took a Aussie guy, he wanted the full match day experience. Three hours in the green man before the game set him up well. He is on a plane back to Melbourne and is well hung over.. 😂👍

Champions Champions Champions!!

What a weekend back home..

Best team in the league, won the league with games to spare and i witnessed it with my own eyes with my son.

Had an absolute ball in Liverpool the last 3 days, theres not many better places to be.

Slot deserves massive credit for improving Klopps team this year, theres still 4 games to go and i expect a performance in each one.

Hand it over, Hand it over, Hand it over Manchester 😍😍

It is a difficult one. I remember when we were Liddle City and we won the FA cup for the first time in generations. Trust me the elation is on another level. The nearest thing I can relate is Newcastle this season winning the league cup. A few hundred thousand folk turning up for the parade kinda confirms that.
When City won the premier league against QPR, Lordy flippin Lordy, that moment is historic, even though Liddle City have no History 😉
Again when Leicester won the Premiership. That History that ranks alongside Citys first title. I was seriously chuffed for Leicester.
Look at Forest and there two stars on there shirt from Europe. You’re never taking them away.
But times change. And for me change for the worse.
Before Sky and the premier league “ invented football”, no one ever ever talked about the top/ big four. You seriously never knew who would win the league. Football through the Premier league has seen 8 champions since its “invention” in 1992.
The previous 33 years when it was boring old division 1, there was 13 champions.
And yet shockingly, teams that should have no place of Finishing in the top 2 or 3 like Sheff Weds, Ipswich, Forest, Watford, QPR, Derby, Burnley, Wolves, Man Utd Managed it.
But money, Sky, and there invention of football changed all that.
Liverpool in a poor season have walked it. And deservedly so. But rather than have the highlight on that achievement. It now focuses on who will finish in the champions league places and get X amount of ££££’s
It’s sad, very sad indeed.
From a City point of view, we have won 1 champions league having qualified for lord knows how many.
From my point of view. History and Silverwear looks far prettier than £ signs.
Liverpool have lost 2 games all season. We (will) have all played the same teams twice come the end of the season.

Pep showed class yesterday, its a shame fans cant follow suit.

I would disagree its a poor season. Ciy have been poor without Rodri. Maybe they're a 1 man team🤔

Pep hit the nail on the head as soon as news was announced that KDB will not be offered an extension when his contract expires. ( I wish they would). He said we cannot keep players on the payroll who have only played 20% and less games this season. With that in mind. KDB, Stones, Aki fit in that bracket. Add to that Rodri, Bobb, Haaland, Ederson, Dias, Akanji etc etc.
The fifth highest appearing player is Oscar Bobb.
Ave a feeling there could be a good clear out this summer.

Whilst i agree re KDB, i also understand that IF you keep him fit for 40 games a season, he wins City an extra 15pts on his own.

i have seen supporters of other clubs scoff at Liverpool keeping Salah and Van Dijk, look at their injury recors and its no brainer. KDB is questionable.

Re City and injuries this season. I honestly believe that Pep gave those players the chance that had won 4 prem titles on the spin the opportunity to go for a fifth. It was down to him, he picked the players. When went on record re playing to much football.Sods law, his cruicate went a couple of weeks later. What was a strange decision for me was letting Kyle Walker go. His injury record is comparable to VVD and Salah. Yet he was allowed to leave. That was a strange one especially ally as we started to struggle in defence.
Re VVD and Salah, they have been the rock of that team for ages. Keeping them was massive, and being able to build on them looks very good for Liverpool.
Re City, if there has been a minor positive it is the emergence of O,Reilly. He has been monster for City at left back. How do you coach a 6ft4” centre forward into becoming a left back. My problem is when everyone is fit at City and new signings, Will he get game time. Don’t ask me how, but Kovacic and Nunes have started looking like the players they should be.
