I’m a bit late to the party of discussing yesterday. Got back very late!

It’s the hope that kills you isn’t it?! 🙄🤣

Congratulations to City. Early goal absolutely killed us and we were far too passive (even for us) in the first half. Much more pleasing second half, came out with much more intent. If the Elanga chance goes in early in the second half it’s a different story. But when you hit the woodwork 3 or 4 times and miss two golden chances, it’s evident the footballing gods aren’t on your side and it wasn’t meant to be!

Great day out for me and my boy nonetheless. Extremely proud of the fans for the noise they brought and vast majority of us stayed on to cheer the team afterwards, which was nice to see and be a part of. Kick on and hopefully get a CL spot. 🤞🤞🤞

Congratulations also to Liverpool for winning the title. Been great all season, can’t deny it.

(Though I do feel the footballing world owes Nottingham Forest and Fulham a debt of gratitude for preventing The Unbearables becoming The Invincibles 😉)

Another thing about yesterday.

There were big gaps in the City stands and one entire block that had no one in at all.

Now I know there are various reasons for that and I’m not gonna start digging at City for it. But what does frustrate me is that there was no need for those seats to be empty. If they’d been released to Forest fans instead, they’d have been snapped up in less than an hour.

If one club blatantly isn’t going to sell an entire block’s worth of tickets, surely they can hand them over to the other one?!

Stories emerging online that it was an advertising stunt for the new google phone. Phone was handed to him by someone from club - apparently
In some ways I wouldn’t be surprised

The guys behind him won’t care but also I’m not surprised if people look to just see it as more than a a spur of the moment thing

Presumably that is a security issue. That might put a bunch of Forest fans in with City ones and problems can occur. The only way around that is to sell them in blocks working back to the centre. Last tickets to sell are those near to the opposition fans and then you just move the security line if you hand them over. Actually, now that I've gone through it, not so hard after all :ROFLMAO:

Still, photos to treasure for Google if they own the phone, as it may well boost their treasure chest
You are missing the point- the phone (apparently) wasn’t owned by a fan. It was a new ggogle phone (google sponsor the club) and it was handed to Salah by a club employee. All pre planned.

Does it really matter - it’s a great picture 👍

Looks like it was planned by Salah and something he wanted to do

Speaking to Optus Sport, the 32-year-old explained: “Since the beginning of the season I’ve always taken a selfie with the players [who scored], so this one I said ‘OK, I have to think of something special’, because this picture is going to be there forever.

“So I worked my mind a little bit around that idea and it was fine, yeah.”
