Yeah, fair point.
Carabao Cup trophy is quite small isn’t it?
I've seen pictures of queues to get into the bar at the ground, St James ,at 9am this morning. It's been a long day for a lot of people.Think it’s going to be a bit mental in Newcastle tonight

They'll be ringing up pubs in Sunderland asking for spare kegs. They won't be needing them, they will be north of the Tyne![]()
It’s great for them - I don’t think anyone will begrudge them the win ( unless you’re from Sunderland)
Hope they have a great night

What this has shown, how important it is that different teams win the cup competitions. Winning the league is incredibly tough for anyone bar a few teams. Cups though...........teams need to go for it. It's massive for fans who aren't used to success. The level of joy and appreciation is huge.
Give the boy a chance, he rarely lets you downRASMUS!!

He's not had a bad week, has heHow great is it for Dan Burn - Geordie lad who was superb
Seeing how genuinely happy the Newcastle fans were to win was properly heart warming. My bunch won something a couple of years back, and it was wonderful. What this has shown, how important it is that different teams win the cup competitions. He's not had a bad week, has he. Huge game for him, he was immense. Comes across as a really genuine guy as well, he's living his dream. Not bad to do that.

The same teams expecting to win every year is a bit dull, tbh.
It seems that Forest never read your post or Villa last year. Also Utd are a rich club, it’s not going to well for them either. That's the problem with financial "fair" play being so weighted to keep the rich clubs rich making it harder every year for someone to break that group and keep it interesting
Newcastle have mega rich owners but can't just do a Chelski or a citeh and really shake the league up a bit.
Possibly Teeside even....... nothing bigger than your local side doing well & by hell the NE has been well short for many, many years. I'll never forget the late 50's & early 60's in Bishop when the town & region was just humming with success. It's now, like so many others in our land, a 'failed' Market Town with nowhere to go & not easy to see any way out of it. Looking like Leeds could be enjoying the same uplift if they can maintain form.I've seen pictures of queues to get into the bar at the ground, St James ,at 9am this morning. yes I thought he was quite classy at rejecting the interviewers attempts to push him to say that the performance/result was due to the PSG game. And fair play to Slot in his interview with Sky -![]()
