I'm guessing that is click bait by Pogba and his agent but I'm loving the thought of it. I'm trying to imagine a midfield two of Pogba and Casemeiro 😳. My mum is 85 and walks with a stick. She would still walk through those two 🤣. If there is a player utd need less than Pogba, I'd love to know who.
My mum is 84, alongside yours in midfield they'd be better than Casimero and Eriksen

I think it was but why have him on the bench if he has a niggle.you might as well have me, at least I can tell a few jokes.
I was thinking about that the other night.

If it was an injury that was to keep him out for a few weeks or more, normally they could just say that.

But, with Real Madrid and Liverpool coming up, does that announcement help opposition at all? Or, could you keep it quiet, so opponents need to train and keep Haaland in mind. Stick Haaland on bench against Madrid, so even if he doesn't play, Liverpool still think he could be playing against them. Once Liverpool match comes along, he actually isn't on bench at all.

Difficult to see why Haaland would be dropped completely if he is fit. He just signed a 47 year contract, you'd think he'd still make the bench rather than getting the Rashford treatment

It was an "in" joke...clearly not as in as I thought :-)
I suspected it was a reference to what another poster said before. :)

My question was more about had any new injury details been released, or is he still officially fit? The commentators in Newcastle game announced it as big news, as if he had possibly been dropped rather than injured.

I don't think there's any change. Not sure why he'd go to Madrid unless he fancied a trip! Or some weird bluff from Pep. Hopefully it's only a short absence. Sounds like Stones is out for the season, along with Akanji. Not been a great season all round for us but injuries haven't helped. Fatigue and, for some, age surely a part of that.

WTF did Howe say to his players at half time?..."Ok lads...the game is done and dusted so just sit back and soak up what Forest throw at us?".

Yes Forest came out with a different attitude and should be commended, but it seems like Newcastle had no desire to try to match the tempo. Some shocking passing out from the back...players just sleeping and a lot of the problems were caused of our own making. Not sure that bringing in Pope, with his poor distribution and lack of recent game time with the back four, was the best of decisions, unless Howe is trying to give him game time with a view to him playing in the League Cup final.

Will get battered at Liverpool on Wednesday if we have the same passive attitude. Still....with the results yesterday, a win of any sort was needed to keep us firmly in the CL qualifying race.
