Interesting pre match comments tonight from Redknapp and Carragher, the latter hitting the nail squarely on the head for me.
When discussing the amount of time dedicated to talking about Rashford of late, Carragher said “He’s not that good a player.”

Doesn’t say much for the values held by football supporters then…but given the vile tripe served up in Scotland by fans of the gruesome twosome I suppose it’s relatively inoffensive…but that doesn’t make it inoffensive and so doesn’t merit any validation or excusing by anyone.

Crazy match, for me it goes to show how far off the pace Antony and Lindleoff are. Amad once more showing his quality. Managing his workload isn’t going to be easy for Amorim. Interesting to see what happens in Jan.

I think we can confirm that Fraser Forster is not very good on the ball. 
To be fair he's about 9 foot tall so his feet are a long way from his brain. After a few decent saves recently some Spurs fans were saying he's better than Vicario, so I guess they tempted fate for something like this to happen.

It was a snap shot and no way he was getting down to that.
He stopped it and that’s all that counts.
But if you have a keeper who’s not so good with his feet.
Stop playing the ball to him in tight situations, that’s basics.

I did have a bit of sympathy for the UTD keeper on your 4th, it looked a foul to me, at the same time surely the keeper has to be more dominant there.

We are 20th in the league for number of goal kicks that were hit long. That's 4 goal kicks out of 109 that we've kicked long. That's not an accident, Ange has obviously told them never to do it. I guess it works a little better when Vicario is playing, but still. That's the philosophy. I'm not a huge fan because the supposed benefit is almost intangible, whereas the drawback of cocking it up is immediately obvious.

I've only seen the TV coverage angle with no replays, but it would have been a soft foul based on that. We've had plenty of those not given on Vicario this season. Keepers are just not what they used to be. Would Schmeichel or Seaman have allowed themselves to be brushed aside like that? Not a chance.Not the greatest display of goal keeping last night

Only went crazy when Utd got one back, up until then I thought Spurs might get a couple more.

Yeah same here, but that ship has sailed long ago. Keepers used to be giant men who'd batter their way through forwards to catch crosses, and their job was to keep the ball out of and away from the goal. Nowadays they are more flimsy types who can play ten yard passes with the best of them but get bundled over with ease.
