Big clubs might work with but west ham? I doubt

I mean take kudus the bloke is bigger than us. Teams like city can be picky and go no African players because they can buy whoever they want. We have to take the talent left over

I've heard a rumour that kudus might be available for Brighton which as much as I hate the Acon at least that would be more sensible solution. 11 days I'd enough rest before the tournament.
Teams like City keep being used as an example through lazy arguments. The current club world champions had 3 x academy players in the final. We can develop players as well as pick and choose like others teams do.
Personally I would not be bothered if we did or didn’t have any African players. But I would not employ anyone and pay his wages if he was going to disappear every two years for a month. KDB and other players have been out longer than any AFCON tournament and we have done ok without them.

A good balanced article about acon

And the best news now it seems official

Get Tim on his jet asap and sign some players that will work for Moyes

Werner linked. Yes please solves our left wing issue and would fill in up front with Bowen right whilst kudus is away

Just need a CB if kehrer is off

Worral Is frozen out of forest I'd take him
I think most of the Forest fans would pay his bus fare to London. 👍

What is going on with him at forest, club captain being frozen out

Would suit us

Think he would be Dawson 2.0 who everyone laughed when we signed and then turned into just the right piece of the jigsaw

Right age, powerful CB

We need a 4th choice CB. Zouma can't play twice a week , aguard is off to acon so leaves Dinos and the 36 year old ogbonna who whilst was excellent last night can't go on forever so could be a screwed bit of business bringing in him a reserve

God forbid anyone look at the RFU and even WRU policy of picking players from what CLUB they are playing for. Best also include the All Blacks as well.

If a PL team picks a player from any continent other than Europe, it's a given they may be missing for a certain amount of time.
For fans of some now possibly affected clubs to start whinging just shows how they don't really understand.

I love how the entire point is missed. Whilst acon is a pain the players having to leave on 1st January (which could be pushed back) seemed utterly ridiculous when the tournament starts on January 13th

They could easily go on the 3rd complete the entire round of fixtures so that spurs playing Sunday get to keep their players but Liverpool on Monday would be without Salah

It looks like common sense has taken over and players will be allowed to play the last game of this round of fixtures before meeting up with a solid 10 days before the tournament which seem a fair solution if true.

The rules of the tournament are known before you sign a player from that continent.
Why shouldnt those players and Nations have exactly the same as teams in the World Cup, or even the Euro's?

Because the leagues stop for the world cup and euros. they shunted the entire seasons around for the world cup

Acon was correctly moved to the summer but this one had to be moved to this January

Maybe the premier league is to blame and knowing the rules stop spreading out the fixtures over Xmas so much and actually have them finished by 31st December but money talks

From what I can pick up with the Forest fans I know. I think he is a bit marmite. I think they see him
As a squad player but not good enough for starting 11. So I would question is he good enough for West Ham.
Be interesting to hear the Forest fans views on here. 👍

Watford fans said the same about Dawson to be fair

Sometimes players work better for different coaches and diff systems

In our system with Moyes could be perfect

Take Emerson, in the fringes at Chelsea I'd say he's been our player of the season this year

Out of interest whilst the AFCON cup is being discussed.
Guess which team could be the hardest hit in the Prem league with players going to Africa.

No more discussion please of alleged goings on at Newcastle United. If in any doubt as to why, please reacquaint yourselves with the following;

The list isn't complete. This is another ridiculous part. The nations have until the 3rd to name their squads. Ivory coast for example have named there's. Cornet isn't there so we keep him

We assume kudus is going but Ghana haven't named theirs yet

There is some FIFA rule that the nations have to let the clubs know in writing 15 days before or the clubs are allowed to play the players

Otherwise if named and no permission given the players can't be named in squads etc

And still the whinging goes on.
As Klopp says "we all know about it and have to plan acoordingly"
Perhaps instead of the whinging, ask the FA why much of Europe is having a winter break whilst these 2 comps are on.
