The game management by Emre/Villa was amateurish. 2-0 up and kept playing a stupidly high line even with the warning they got from the disallowed goal.

This just about sums it up. Villa just invited united onto them leaving so much space to play the ball into.
United in the first half was like side show bob constantly walking into the rake on the floor.
They timed the runs better in the 2nd half and got their rewards.

Call me deluded, but there's a part of me that'd like to see Antony playing down the left.
I think he could be quite effective deployed there.
But he isn’t fast and doesn’t beat defenders often so how would he fulfil the more old fashioned left winger role?

I don't know why the modern inverted wingers can't play on the "correct" side

We have it with Bowen. Obviously great off the right (left footed) but doesn't play off the left . kudus who uses both feet with fantastic outcome is another who "can't" play left

He doesn't beat defenders often because, when he does, he still has to stop and turn inside to get the ball on his left foot.
Currently, for him, beating defenders is utterly pointless as he'd have to re-beat them or cross with his right foot, which he patently can't do.
Move him to the left and the whole landscape changes, cutting inside would suddenly become irrelevant.

Just imagine a left footed left side player.
A right footed right side player.
And a proper CF.
Reinventing footy.🙈😂😂

What does he do when he gets past players? He isn’t fast enough to go around them the long way and Man Utd (like most teams) don’t play for crosses into the box.

What I don’t understand is how have we got to the stage that footballers are dragging topside Of 200K per week and can only kick with one foot.

I think most of them can kick with both feet it's just the confidence to take the ball down first time on the wrong foot

But surely for the wage they should be working on it week in week out in training until their comfortable.. like maldini

Correct, I merely suggested that it could be beneficial if they gave it a try.
One of the things about playing left footed players on the right( and vice versa) is that when they cut inside the body and right leg is between the ball and the defender. It makes it very very difficult to tackle and not concede fouls. Both David Silva and Bernado Silva are very good at this.
