Yet if they turn this around is it a shoot on the road to something or just papering over the cracks

Who knows? But the difference when United play on the front foot is clear for all to see. They look a totally different side when they show some intent.

This 2nd half United is not a team I've seen all season, where have they been?
I'd love to know who said what at half time!
Eventually a great result and a superb 2nd half performance.
I'll sleep well tonight!
Every now and again I really love football.
Oh, how angry are all the haters going to be tonight?

The game management by Emre/Villa was amateurish. 2-0 up and kept playing a stupidly high line even with the warning they got from the disallowed goal.

It's clear that united don't have awful players but lack a proper manager since the fergie days.

Someone to keep on top of players attuides, keep the performances up

You wouldn't see Fernandez as captain of Manchester United under fergie days

Greenwood was / is an incredible player but his off the field problems have cost united dearly. Can't help but notice the similarity to ravel Morrison who fergie packed off to us in an attempt to help the player himself "get him out of Manchester away from who he hangs out with" unfortunate he ended up in Birmingham a stoned throw from the people he hung about with.

Greenwood was a trouble maker in the England camp, both him an foden sent home for COVID breaches you can imagine how much fergie would have come down like a ton of bricks on the youngster.

Really need a proper manager again, ETH is not the answer

EtH has 'come down like a ton of bricks' on Sancho, yet you don't applaud him for that.

Most enjoyable 45 minutes I have seen all season. I even said to my lad at 2-1 down I would take some positives if they went on to lose.

But just where has that football been? What was said at half time because United were totally different second half? They simply have to use that as a springboard now rather than taking another enormous step backwards.

I do think having Eriksen back made a difference and Fernandes was excellent all night, even during the first half. Great to see Hojlund off the mark at last and absolutely fabulous to see the reaction of his teammates to his goal.

A very odd night.

Has the result of said ton of bricks achieved anything?

Has he improved because of it... No

Have others gone oh best behave or that will happen to me .. no

Has the player been shipped out .. no

Waste of time and money

Nobody knows, because he hasn’t played since.

Have others gone oh best behave or that will happen to me

Nobody knows. Not you. Not me. Nobody here because everything since seems to have been done behind closed doors. What misbehaviour are you privy to that the rest of us aren’t?

Has the player been shipped out .. no

Have I missed a transfer window?

The first 2 goals Utd conceded had nothing much to do with manager. Just switched off defenders again, which happens time and time again.

Utd playee decent stuff in first half despite that, just not clinical. Watched it with a few people, and actually thought Utd could turn it around if they keep it up. Second half they played very very well.

Rashford on left and Garnacho on right might become a regular thing now.

Nunez and Hojland scoring on the same day. Surely that's two of the three harbingers of the apocalypse. What's the third? Are we going to make it to the new year or is the world going to end?

Regarding utd, I watched the first half, not good. Second half, Death in Paradise Christmas special easily won the day so I didn't see the comeback. What changed? Did Villa collapse? Did utd turn a corner? Has ETH found the missing formula?

The difference was the intensity. Rather than being depressingly passive, United worked their socks off and played on the front foot, the way every fan wants to see them play.

Everything they did going forward was quick, decisive and inventive. In short, everything they haven’t been for way too long. The difference was stark.

How long it lasts remains to be seen, but the confidence has had a massive boost. And Garnacho on the right was a breath of fresh air. Think Antony may be warming the bench for a while.

Probably right about Garnacho. But in fairness to Antony, he did well.when he came on. It was his pressure that lead to the corner, that led to Hojlund's goal.
