Just outta interest for the neutrals. There’s been discussion about how many places in the champs league for prem league clubs for next year. I honestly don’t know the answer to this next conundrum, but. Am sure there is a UEFA ruling that if an owner had two clubs that qualify for the champs league. Only one can enter because of the prospect of cheating. Reason I say that. Girona who are top of La Liga are owned by the City group. If City finish below Girona will they qualify for the champs league or will that spot go to another Prem league team. Watch this space. 😳👍
Red Bull Leipzig and Red Bull Salzburg were both in Celtic's group a couple of seasons ago.

I know what I'd like to happen

More VAR rubbish. Yellow card challenge all day, but ref is asked to look at the screen, where in slow motion and out of context it obviously looks worse than it is - and feels like he has to change his decision. *Sigh* I guess this is football now.
It shouldnt be football now. When is it going to stop?

The inconsistency is a bigger problem.

Me either - I always thought agents should be paid by the players to be honest. They're the ones hiring them!
Not always, clubs often approach Agents so they become employed by the club for that deal.

Both correct, not sure what your point was though:rolleyes:
I think the thing is about football is that when it gets predictable it gets boring. You could well argue that city winning the league for three years is predictable and boring but Arsenal blew It last year. The point is that even as a City fan Leicester winning the Prem was one of my favourite titles won. But did City, Liverpool, Utd etc etc blow it. I don’t think so. Same with the champs league top four, it is earned over a season. For me football got predictable when the big four was Arsenal, Chelsea, Utd and Liverpool. It became more interesting when teams like City, Spurs, Leicester, Newcastle and now hopefully Brighton and Villa started sitting at the top table. For me they have earned it.

It's not about who the teams are. CL football is a different beast. Tactically its tougher. Then you've got the travelling that makes a massive difference especially when you're not used to it.

Loads have teams have struggled when they 1st break into the CL. Neecastle wont be the last

Am sure you could put City in that list the surprising thing is that Arsenal are the ones that could have and should have won it. But alas when it came to European football. They went all Spursy.

I'd have thought it was probably a red, as he knew he was going in for a 50/50 and he did so with his boot up. Could have been nasty had he made more of a central contact rather than glancing off.

That being said, I'd love someone to tell us how many red cards have been given for studs into ankle challenges since VAR came into force, and how often it is VAR who asked for the review rather than the onfield ref giving it direct. It seems extremely rare indeed that onfield referees give those as red anymore, they just let VAR look at it.

This is my frustration really. You could say that was an 'orange' card, maybe a red, but I think if it left as a yellow people would have accepted that. The whole thing just has the air of inevitability about it now. Any slightly mistimed tackle where you catch the player, the ref will be sent to VAR and he will take that as a signal to change his decision to a red card. More red cards this season than the whole of last season already is insane.

Never saw Man City dropping points against Palace. Ederson lucky to stay on the pitch too.
