I like Martinez a lot. He has been a big miss, and was clearly rushed back from injury before he was ready, hence the latest absence with a recurrence of it. And I am probably in a minority, but I’m happy to give Onana time. He has made mistakes, for sure, but I have also seen lots of positives. I’ve mentioned it before but De Gea was absolutely dreadful when he arrived - far worse than Onana. Patience may well be rewarded.

But I do tend to agree that there seems to be something of a reliance on buying players ETH has worked with previously, and he did so in a vastly inferior league. That is where a solid support structure is clearly required - to lessen one individual’s influence on how the millions are spent.
How many managers return to a previous club for players?....most.
I thnk too many fans still want the Utd way", when in reality the game has moved on. I think ETH should be applauded for standing up to a player (Sancho) and making demands that the overpaid lump isn't prepaired to meet because he feels he's bigger than the manager.
I would also add that Ratcliffe taking part ownership and control of footy aspects could also be a bad move, even if you all do want the Glazers out.

Returning to a previous club for players is fine, providing it’s not at the exclusion of other options. We seem a little too reliant on it.

And I totally agree regarding the need for discipline. It’s one of the reasons I like ETH as much as I do. We have seen the same approach with Guardiola at City, but it doesn’t get anywhere near the coverage that Ten Hag gets for imposing discipline.

Re Rashford I just don’t get it. He is a quality act but there’s something inside his head that says his rammel performances are acceptable to him. If he wants to be a world star player he needs to put in the effort. I seriously get bogged off when people say that anyone would score a hat full playing for City. Every player works his arse off and if he don’t he is out of the team and then the squad. Cancelo being the latest Rashford to be shown the door. People like Rashford should be the ones giving bollockins out to other players. He should be leading by example. He sets a pathetic example.
So how does Southgate not see that, yet still picks him. Yet he is not the only one. Ave said it before, having seen City play rammel for decades, Utd are rammel. And I don’t just mean the team. Who is actually accountable for what goes off, where does the Buck stop. I look at City and think who is the one player that irks me, that grips my 💩.I cannot think of one. If I was to say the same as a Utd fan. I would get an infraction as the list is that long. Utd could do to drop out of Europe finishing bottom of the group to let them focus on finishing above mid table. Someone needs to come in and rip that team, and club apart. Then fix the roof At the swamp.

I'm defo bias .. but kudas really is class

Will be a bigger club in a couple of transfer windows

I wonder if the set up at the Man Utd academy is poor? While other youngsters learn to deal with situations when they are up against it, are Man Utd wrapped up in cotton wool from a young age? Are they led to believe they are huge stars as children, worshipped at school, etc because they are at Utd? Have they become technically good snowflakes by the time they become professional? Then when up against their peers, pro players bought from all around the world with a 15-20 year age range, (I.e. not just competing against their age level), are they found out as being mentally unfit for the challenge?

Not sure they build them like they used to

See this is what I don't like with Moyes..now I have a lot of time for Moyes but he needs to remember it's a squad game. 87 mins and no subs? We are 1-1 at home to palace. It's not like we are 2-1 up , we are struggling to break their very good defending. Why not go to the bench? There is talent there.. behrama, cornet, fornals (who is coming on now in the 88 min) but you can't tell me we couldn't make these changes 20 odd mins ago

Too little too late. The change did the correct thing we pushed and pushed at the end. Made the keeper work a bit and caused more trouble than the rest of the second half .. should have changed it at the latest 75 mins.

They have to have picked the most boring game for tv today.

If palace keeper made a pretty routine save we don't score..if our defender doesn't pass to their striker palace don't score .. not a classic

Where as every other game in the league?? Crackers

Talk has to be the Chelsea game

No pen, var gives pen (or official does whatever) then overturned for a dropped ball???? How can be a dropped ball the ball went out .. it's either a pen or a corner

Spurs have a chance to set a new PL record today. First team ever to score 1st in 4 consecutive matches and lose :ROFLMAO:

Don’t understand why we plod about for 80 minutes then up the tempo for the last 15! (By which I mean lumping more aimless crosses into the box)

Absolutely Pub standard of football… day made even worse by the closure of the DLR meaning queuing in the rain at Stratford for 45 minutes.
