Us armchair fans can give our opinion re England and Southgate and it is quite varied on a golf forum.

However if you put your hand in your pocket pay out a large wad of cash, travel a fair old distance and get soaking wet whilst paying over the top for food and drinks. You are more than entitled to your opinion whether you give a standing ovation or boo and tell them it’s rammel. I think the match going fans let there thoughts be known re Henderson. And probably England.

Last nights game reminded me of a Prem team playing in the first qualifying round of the Carabao cup. full of players who will not be in a starting 11 the following Saturday. Players trying to prove they can cut the mustard, players playing to a system. That last sentence sums it up. What exactly is the system. The goal came from a div 3 ball lumped into the box. I still think the players are carrying Southgate and the football is dire to watch. Anyone who thinks watching England is entertaining also likes to watch Crossroads and Neighbours on catch up TV.
That last sentence is rammel Tash!! 😁

I dunno what you guys expect sometimes.
It was a friendly, a chance to see what the fringe players can do.
How often and how long does GS have to look at certain players - not much.

Also Australia are a good strong side, very fit and well organised.
Not to mention the England v Australia rivalry, always going to be competitive, even in just a friendly.

Looking forward to the Tuesday qualifier.

Think the problem is Chris is that most fans think we have such an abundance of young talent and Southgate doesn’t give them the freedom to show that.

Picking Henderson was a strange choice he’s way past his best and playing in a micky mouse league should rule him out.

It was always going to be a problem picking what was in essence our second string team and expecting them to gell as a team, I would have liked to have seen Stones starting with 4/5 more experienced players.

Try and get the game won then introduce some of the fringe players, Australia deserved a draw I thought and your right they were a fit well organized team.

One of the bidders in for Man Utd have pulled out. One bidder left but Glazers don't seem overly interested in selling after all. What's going on utd fans?
Neither are high in the moral standings but arguably the best of a bad bunch are left in contention, albeit they’ll put less money into the team.

Gentle reminder folks. As well as obvious profanities, trying to disguise them to bypass swear filters is also not allowed.

Edited because I am a moderator, not because I’m a United fan 😉

This is a truly depressing read. Much as I would prefer not to be owned by Qatari money, at least we would have known where we are with a 100% buy out.

This is just a sorry mess.

To a certain extent I think it's safe to say the big boys in the premier league only have themselves to blame here. Chelsea was £5bn (on whatever terms it was, stadium and players etc), FSG clearly wanted similar for Liverpool. it again looks similar for united.

If anybody is saying 'no to state wealth' then there aren't that many options, and there's certainly no such thing as a good billionaire. The days of fan ownership, singular local boy made good, or consortium are sadly long gone.

Good news as at least Jim is a United fan and will complete a full takeover in the coming years. Apparently he has full sporting control and everything to do with the football side of things already. He can't do any worse than The Glazers on that front!

If only I could believe this.
With the Glazers in control I just have no faith ....................... and I hate that.
