Macheda?Correct.
With so many young players coming through all the time, all it takes is for a youngster to have a flash in the pan moment and then any subsequent failure to become world class sees them labelled as a failure.

Cadamarteri?
The next big thing, don’t ya know…forgot about him
To be fair, there’s a world of difference between someone saying a player hasn’t reached their potential and that player being labelled a failure.
Gascoigne is a classic case in point. Not a failure, far from it. But he absolutely never fulfilled his potential.
I cited Raphael Burke as another example. He never failed simply because he never made it in order to fail. Of the class of ‘92, Eric Harrison, who coached the youngsters at that time, said that Burke was the cream of the crop. More talented than the likes of Giggs, Beckham and Scholes. That’s some accolade. So I think it’s entirely reasonable to say he never fulfilled his potential.
It is probably not an uncommon thing to happen, especially for young players at big clubs, and again if they are at that club from a young age.Man United have produced a few like that. Raphael Burke, one of the original class of ‘92, had talent to burn but his application didn’t match it.
Gasgoigne struggled to recover from the cruciate ligament injury he got in the FA Cup final. He certainly never found the pace he previously had. Given too much time on his hands he partied too much. He did the same at Lazio, following a broken cheekbone & then a broken leg.
I was disappointed when the Boro signed him, thinking he couldn’t cut it anymore. He was getting on a bit but when he turned it on he was sublime and still very much capable of turning a draw into a win.
He was a George Best, a fool to himself.

Something had to be done, they have been severely emabarressed by the whole thing. So new VAR protocols introduced after last weeks human error, whats the thoughts on this?
As much as it may be needed, i feel it's unfair on the teams that have fallen foul of the previous human errors/ incompetence/gross negligence. 12 apologies this seaeon and its only 7weeks old!!
The main question is, Is it fair to change protocols mid season? I dont think it is.
The integrity of the competition has been brought into disrepute for me.
To protect the integrity of the competition is it fair to change the rules as they go?? Im not sure.Something had to be done, they have been severely emabarressed by the whole thing.
Better to change it now than risk further issues for other clubs.

A serious human error was made last week. We all know it. So they change protocol to try and reduce odds of that happening again. If they didn't, and another huge error was made this season, it could just as easily happen against Liverpool again, as with any other team. And if it happened to Liverpool again, I can guarantee Liverpool fans would be screaming it is a disgrace nothing was done immediately after it first happened

It's improving the guidelines to help avoid further mistakes, surely that's common sense. To leave a system knowing a fault exists is negligent. Close the fault, improve the system, fewer mistakes. That has to be better than further errors happening. So new VAR protocols introduced after last weeks human error, whats the thoughts on this?
