A statement has been released to admit VAR got the offside wrong

How is it possible for VAR to get it wrong?
They’re basically admitting that it’s a waste of time & doesn’t work.

I'm not sure they got it wrong, I think they actually failed to look at it at all. Which is an even bigger wrong I guess

Lets not forget if there was no VAR the goal still would have been disallowed as the on field decision was off.

And most would've accepted that decision. The whole idea of VAR was to assist the onfield refs. Not for the 1st time has it failed them. I'm sure the forthcoming apology will be sufficient.
