Well, we got three points.
Rashford and McTominay were awful tonight, truly awful.
On the plus side, there actually is a plus side, Jonny Evans had a really good game and Hannibal showed the others what tracking back actually looks like.
He was excellent and his work rate was admirable.

Totally agree regarding Rashford and McTominay. The latter is lucky to still be at the club and was miles off the pace. Miles. And Rashford, I’m afraid, did what he does way too often - run down blind alleys, making poor decisions and giving away possession cheaply. His decision making is dreadful far too often.

Jonny Evans may be 35 years of age and have a creaking body, but he has experience to burn and it showed tonight. Calm in and out of possession, he led the back line really well. He’s only there as cover, and if he performs like that on the occasions he’s needed then I won’t complain.

After the run we’ve been on I’ll take a hard earned point against any side.

Jonny Evans is a good solid pro, good dependable character. I'm sure he is the type of personality that is good to have in the dressing room, and I'm sure a big reason Ten Hag was happy to have him. And, if required to play, you know he will stick to what he is good at and not let you down, despite getting on a bit. There was criticism from some when we signed him, but looks like it was a great call now.

Rashford has become a huge problem. On a highlights reel, he can shine in moments in a game. Sadly, for 99% of the remaining time he is shocking. Poor runs, bad decisions, gives ball away, can't defend, sulks, etc. Ten Hag is obviously sticking with him for now, but surely it is time to kick him up.the backside and give Garnacho more of an opportunity.

I’ve said it now many times, if another club came in with a decent offer we should cash in. Sure, he had a decent season goal scoring wise last year, but that merely hides the fact that much of what he does is bang average.

It’s long overdue he learned that doing the simple thing is often far more beneficial to the team than trying to run through a brick wall by beating three or four defenders. More often than not his attempts to do that end in him losing possession, or on his backside feigning injury. It’s so frustrating to watch.

Capable of the extraordinary at times, but more often than not makes an utter hash of the ordinary, he is one of the most overrated players ever to wear the shirt.

The Rodri sending off was correct but Gibbs White 😱, that was embarrassing.

The way people are talking about it in the media and on social media, Gibbs-White is the only player ever to make a meal over a foul or challenge against them! “Part of the game” until a little upstart from one of the smaller clubs does it.

And please let us overlook the incident when Gvardiol got caught in the ribs by a high boot and went down clutching his face - cos that isn’t worth a mention!

Bad boy, Morgan!

It’s awful.

One of the best things about the time we spent in the championship was that when the ref signalled “Goal” you knew that was it.

Now a slightly dubious goal happens and the elation is held.

Obviously you get goals that are clearly goals with no controversy but it’s just rubbish in stadiums.

Also winds me up that they don’t show us it on the screens 😂

Whilst you’re not wrong, You say that like none of the other handsomely paid footballers in the premier league wouldn’t have reacted in the same way
Actually nothing in how he worded that makes it seem like he’s singling Gibbs-White out. Maybe you’re just touchy about it being your own player?

This is a big gripe of mine too. I assume it’s because some tinpot clubs don’t have video screens in their ground (United et al), so have to be consistent through out.

Not at all, happens all the time but the whole of internet football seems to be absolutely rattled by it like it’s never occurred before.

It’s amusing how, at 2-0 up, City were so rattled by little old Forest. Rodri trying to strangle opposition players, parking the bus against “relegation fodder”; Pep giving it large every time the ref blew his whistle and animating to the crowds to try and get the tourists to actually make some noise in their soulless bowl of a stadium, Grealish getting wound up by Montiel. Was quite astounding really.

Did Gibbs white end up in hospital overnight and needed major surgery to his face. Hope he has pulled through. Expect he has a sick note and will be unable to play for the rest of the season.

I hope you’re equally concerned for Gvardiol. He received an accidental boot to the ribs but apparently somehow also suffered major facial trauma. Pray for him too.

Re the the Gibbs-White incident. If you look at it from the other angle I think his theatrics are actually a reaction to Foden’s intervention. He went down after Foden got involved and put a hand on him - not because of Rodri’s hands on his throat. Watch Foden turn and walk away as soon as MGW goes down. He thought he was in trouble.

Worth noting as well that had MGW not made a scene, I’m not entirely convinced it would have been given as a red card (which, regardless of reaction, was the right decision)

It was embarrassing, but they are all embarrassing.
If 6'4" 14 stone Erling Haaland has the "right to go down" and win a free kick because a Forest defender touches his shorts on the edge of the penalty area then I reckon 5'7" 10 stone MGW has the right to go down when 6'3" Rodri puts his hands on his throat.
Again, I'm struggling to enjoy football this season. Either accept the theatrics from everyone or damn them all. I'm erring towards the latter.

I'll happily call out any player who fakes injury like that, including from my own team. It should not be part of the game and I'd love to see retrospective action taken against those that do it, whatever team they play for.

I'm not someone in the 'right to go down ' camp. I dislike the phrase as much as I suspect you do. Shame them all I say 😠

This is what I like about our game this season. Regardless we give teams a game.

The team looks more balanced

Sure we lost to city but we gave them a good game

We won't win today against Liverpool, but we already come from behind to score a lovely goal

We aren't giving up without a fight this season for sure

You can't be serious. Have you ever been.on this forum, or on twitter after someone like Bruno, Salah or Kane have been fouled in a noteworthy incident? Even if there is contact, social media goes into meltdown, accusations of over reaction etc.

From a non Forest fan point of view, I've heard very little about Gibbs White, simply what I've seen on MOTD. I can't imagine the football world in general care too much about a Forest player generally (which is no offence, just hat the most emotive reactions will be about players in the big rival teams). You are only sensitive to it as he plays for your team, and you probably also follow more threads specifically related to Forest so will naturally see more comments about it.

And it was embarrassing
