England so so comfortable in this game, away against a rival Scotland team who have been playing well lately.

Yet, many English fans still moaning. Maybe that is why they don't get much respect :)

In fairness to Southgate, what is the point in playing a friendly with a whole bunch of new players you are never likely to use in anger. Instead, maybe he is wanting to see what some of his top players can do in certain positions. They've looked very solid, and been a few nice plays in attack.
Or he's using it to give Maguire some more minutes, so when everyone criticises him for picking Maguire in next year's Euros, he can say "Maguire HAS played football - he played that friendly against Scotland".

Funny how we couldn’t have a female England manager because they haven’t experience at men’s international level.

But half the people on the forum, most of which have never played or managed at any notable level think they know better. Especially the ones who ‘know football’ because they have a season ticket.

England second half are starting to let Scotland back into this , England players all seemed to have dropped ten yards back. Dunk looks very comfortable though , been impressive

Heck, there's a few on here have never been, let alone have a season ticket!😁😁😁

Oh come on. I’m all for defending the manager if he deserves it. And for encouraging him to consider his options. But his fascination with Harry Maguire is beyond laughable. Surely you can see that?

As for the England performance, I’m certainly not criticising it. I happen to think they’ve been thoroughly professional against a Scotland side which was widely expected to give us a very, very tough game.

And, with perfect timing……….

Got to get a foothold in the game again , bring on Maddison and Saka or Eze for Phillips and Rashford
