I'll ask the question again, I have to do this every so often. Why are people so keen to get rid of Pickford. He can't help being born in Sunderlandso once you get past that, how has he let England down?
If Ramsdale is the answer why has Arteta bought someone to replace him? Pope has wobbled at Newcastle this year. In the meantime, Pickford keeps making save after save (we do give him plenty of practice) and he continues to do a first class job for England. If you are analysing the problems with England, the GK is not part of the discussion
I don't have a big issue with him, he's been solid for England.
Id just like to see Ramsdale play for England tonight.

I hope not, as a Scot that would mean he's win about 7 World Cups if he's still the manager.
Strong rumours today of a takeover about to happen at Everton. It isn't the usual local paper looking to fill space type of story, even the BBC are running it. As well as stabilising the club it should hopefully provide a reset between the fans and the owners, something that has had a negative impact for some time.
Surely the people taking over are being paid to do so

Having read the BBC comments today, they mention that this investment firm own a number of other clubs, or have interests in them, and there are protests at those clubs about the way they are run. Any concern that this is out of the frying pan and into the fire.

You have Described Joe Hart to a tee. That’s why Pep got rid and brought in Claudio Bravo. He was brilliant with the ball at his feet. However, he was a rammel shot stopper, couldn’t catch flu and was very similar to Dracula when it comes to Crosses. In Harts defence he wanted to stay and learn. I was delighted when Hart signed for us but when we realised the low lefts it was a real let down

Clearly, if you compare save percentages, then someone has to come out on top and someone bottom in the PL goalkeeper list. Although I'd take those stats with a pinch of salt, as some teams have defences that concede chances that make it difficult for any GK, while others defend better and restrict the opposition to more speculative efforts.
If it is a given that pretty much all PL GK's are excellent shot stoppers, then when determining who is better over another it is more likely going to fall down to who is more composed on the ball, who is more calm at dealing with crosses and ultimately who will give more assurance to the defenders in front of him.

I know what you mean but I think some keepers seem to make more than their fair share, at whatever level. I think Pope saves more than standard and does it in quite an unassuming way. He will give the defenders confidence, at club level, no question.
On a similar theme, you see former players talking about striker X being a natural finisher but striker Y is not. They are strikers at PL level and yet are not deemed comfortable at putting the ball in the net

Of the 23 under 21s England squad, 10 players in the squad have come through the City acadamy. 1 is in Peps squad, 4 sold and 5 on loan.
