Possession is massively overrated

Brighton had 78% of the ball against us and lost 3-1
Depends on a teams style of play.

To write it off completely is wrong also.

Tbf, in our case. We have a keeper who's saved less than 50% of shots he's faced this season, and a manager who's ego is only slightly smaller than our previous.

Gravenburch deal all done - certainly been a big refresh in the middle , some very bright young players arriving - think still would have liked to see a young defender come in

See Lavia has said that he wanted Liverpool but agent pushed towards Chelsea due to the financial rewards
No links to this buddy? 🤔🤷‍♂️

Think Villa have had a solid window and done some very smart business.

Ins -
Pau Torres
Moussa Diaby
Lenglet (loan)
Tilemans
Zaniolo

Outs -
Archer (from academy with buy back)
A Ramsey (from academy with buy back)
Philogene-Bidace (from academy with buy back)
Wesley
Nakamba
Davis
Sanson - loan to buy

Depth would look stronger if we hadn’t lost Mings and Buendia for the season already.

Jacob Ramsey to return soon too.

Addressed the areas we needed to with some real quality, maybe weak up top but I think it’s hard to sign a striker when you have a number 1 starter in Watkins. We have a young talented backup in Duran and a quick fix in Zaniolo though.

A bit worried that Watkins hasn’t penned a new deal yet. Will have a year left after this season and his value will be high if he has a good year. May end up being sold next summer.

Sky has us both an A

not a great start for Newcastle to the season and going to get harder as the CL games appear - Howe certainly needs to turn it around quickly

And Brighton - Ferguson looks a heck of a player - Chelsea might have been better spending £115mil on him with their need for a striker

Taking nothing away from Brighton but what the hell has happened to Newcastle?
After the first game against villa I thought they were the real deal ,but oh my how they have fallen. Three on the spin now ,they really need the international break to sort things out .
I don't think Howe knows how though ,he is a bit one dimensional in my opinion.

I've never rated Howe teams defensively

Had Evan Ferguson in my fantasy team the first two weeks and they weren't starting him so I got rid. Utterly infuriating.

This is why we have a wildcard.. for the end of the transfer window

I've just brought in Maddison , Ferguson and taken out trippier

Freed up so much cash I got in trent lol

Saw a post on Twitter earlier that someone had Haaland, Son and Ferguson in their team with Haaland as triple captain. No idea how many points they would've got but I'm guessing lots.
