He's not the only one, for sure, but Rashford's one of those forwards who looks for opportunities to win free kicks and penalties ahead of opportunities to actually score in open play. It's a shame because he used to be an exciting footballer. It's the main reason I don't care if we sell Brennan Johnson - another falling over specialist.
I still have mixed feelings about Forest being back in the top tier. I struggle to watch any live Prem games due to the cheating of the players and the enabling behaviour of the commentators and fans.

I don’t disagree at all with regard to Rashford. He goes to ground a lot, stays down once there even though it’s apparent there is very little wrong with him, and is, by some distance, the United player who frustrates me the most.

You make a very interesting point about life in the Premier League. As I’ve said before, I have friends and family who are Leicester fans. Once they’d got over the initial disappointment of relegation, they are already enjoying their Championship travels again.

Fully agree. I argue he cost us many points last season, areola should have been number one last summer when we bought him, he had the previous season on loan with us as was solid when called upon

Just because a touch happens doesn’t mean a player is entitled to go and not even touch is a foul

Was the touch enough on Rashford for him to go to ground - from the clip I have seen no - so he has gone down to exaggerate the contact and because there is a belief that players feel entitled to go down

But then Traore was the opposite- was through on goal and Arsenal CB caught him but he stayed on his feet instead of going down and winning a pen

blimey you’ve changed your tune in 7 days.
The Liverpool one last week was a worse dive & you was happy to sugar coat that one

Real progress from Forest these first 3 weeks of the season. Gave United a good go today.

Of the angle I’ve seen (from behind) looks like Danilo pulls back for there to not be contact, or very, very little, before Rashford goes down like he’s been sniped.

Also unlucky with the straight red as Boly was behind for cover as well.

Am I surprised Forest didn’t get anything from these decisions at Old Trafford? Absolutely not. Happens all the time to most visiting teams it seems…But a draw felt like it would have been a fairer result.

Either way, I was encouraged with Forest’s play overall. Much improved away from home in both games so far this season.

Still got Santos, Montiel and Murillo to come in along with Hudson-Odoi rumoured, so I’ve got no doubt we’ll be fine.

When the Boro were pushing for promotion last season I wanted them promoted but not promoted. Promotion would mean either a massive injection of cash just to get above 14th or fight relegation all season. I’d rather have the excitement of chasing promotion than fighting relegation, and the Boro wouldn’t have enough cash to build a good enough squad in the Premier League.

As someone who has endured 23 years of championship and league one, I can categorically say, the novelty will wear off.

There’s a lot to hate about the Premier League when you’re not a top 6 team, but I wouldn’t want to go back to the championship now. Something special about getting to watch the world’s best players in the flesh.

Yo yo a few seasons & bank some of that prem tv money.
But looking at the prices players are going for now it’s not going to go right far.

Well as the last couple of weeks have shown - that’s certainly not a phrase that proves anything these days

FFP makes it very difficult to build a squad that will transition without a huge amount of spending. Boro had a phenomenal team most of last season, built around 4 fantastic loan players. They went back, Boro look very average. It hasn’t helped losing Boro’s striker, 29 goals last season. Good players are poached if promotion isn’t achieved, same at Coventry.

I’m all for free market capitalism, just have protection to stop crooks getting into the game. If a club has a sugar daddy, fine. If it’s successful and can generate extra cash, fine. Why handicap them.
