Dogged performance against a one-dimensional Sheffield United team on Friday. Those were the types of games we'd have thrown away last season - and despite being nowhere near our capable best, we still managed to find a way to beat them and their rat of a manager Hickenbottom. Was great to be back at the City Ground.

Taiwo Awoniyi will get 20+ goals this season if he stays fit. Just an absolute menace. Signing Matt Turner from Arsenal is currently looking like an astute bit of business too as he's been really good for 2 games.

Oh and Anthony Elanga is one of the fastest human's I've ever seen in real life. Just an absolute joke.

Onto mid-table Manchester United at the weekend. Played them 4 times last season and outplayed in all 4 games. Hopefully we can give a good account of ourselves - and judging on their last two performances, now's a good time as any to play them at Home!
Was he not fit last season when he scored 10 goals then?

He missed nearly half the season with injury and still managed double digits on a team who averaged about 20% possession. He'll bag loads this season if he stays fit. Had 3 or 4 other half chances on Friday (one scored, off side, another where he was bought down in the box - no pen...)

He looks leaner and quicker so far this season too. Clearly been working on his conditioning over the summer.

There is no doubt a club will pick him up

Remember Luke McCormick was picked up after what happened

There is imo no doubt that Man Utd wanted to bring in back and used last week to test the response

Imo he should have been fired the minute those pictures and texts were out there

And that is exactly one very good reason that you should never run your own company that employs other people :)

But then, I'm sure you also agreed that Suarez should have been kicked out of Liverpool immediately after his incident with Evra, so at least you are consistent in your outrage

Why am I not surprised that you would find some way to bring Liverpool into it

And even more try and find some way to connect a bloke beating up and sexually assaulting his girlfriend to the Suarez incident Evra

I think maybe you need to take a step back and stop looking at everything as if it’s a Liverpool Vs Man Utd issue

You are embarrassing yourself now , its bad enough with the Chelsea/Barnsley fan trying to bring Liverpool into it , no need for you to join the trolling

Mason Greenwood incident - Major controversial incident related to a Manchester United player
Suarez incident - Major controversial incident related to a Liverpool player

Yes, in the context of my reply to you, it wasn't hard to connect the two incidents. That was not me saying the two were one and the same of course, but I'm sure you have the intellect to be aware of this?

The only point I was making was to make sure you are never in charge of employing people, nice friendly advice. I was also giving you credit that you are at least consistent that you'd fire anyone on the spot without investigation, and brought Suarez into it to demonstrate that it definitely is not a Man Utd Liverpool thing, as you'd have fired him despite being a Liverpool player. So, no need to jump to the wrong conclusions, as that could be embarrassing.

Just stop digging

It has nothing to do with Liverpool

This constant back and forth bickering is becoming more than tiresome. You both clearly have your own views and, equally clearly, are not going to concede any ground in relation to this discussion.

Please agree to disagree and move on.

If he’d been fired the minute the pics & texts had come out he could have sued them for wrongful dismissal. There’s a process to go through before they could have got rid of him.

Not sure that's what's happened, he didn't go to trial they were gonna bring him back but fans stood up and they changed their mind

Otherwise they would have sacked him the minute it didn't go to trial

As i said it was just an opinion - a young girl with clear obvious injuries from him - maybe more reactive and prob more when he was charged is when he should have been let go

I know the NFL have some sort player conduct policy when they have players who get charged especially with domestic abuse - it maybe more prevalent in the USA with the players but imo Man utd played it all wrong - once he was charged - gone

But they clearly imo were hoping there was some way to keep him and was looking at him more as a valuable asset as opposed to someone who was charged for attempted rape and abuse

I was brought up to know that violence or abuse in any relationship is wrong, I did not do the things I was accused of, and in February I was cleared of all charges.
Mason Greenwood.

So basically he’s saying she lied.
Not sure I’d get back with someone if they publicly falsely accused me of that.
And was he cleared?

It is possible she lied in her video but wasn't his voice on one or something? Also, as you say, if she did why the hell would he go back to her...

It is all VERY messy.
