If he truly wanted to stay he'd have signed a new deal with Spurs before the situation reached this point just 2 days before the start of the season. Shearer must be getting kitted out in his chauffeur's uniform as we speak.

Many reports indicating that he's leaning towards staying...

If it’s got this far and Bayern have spent all that time bidding then surely they have been given indications that he wants to leave

If he does stay then he has zero ambition to win trophies and it’s about personal goals for him

Well, Levy finally accepts a deal. So, any suggestions he wasn't accepting the money due to some higher morality, and not allowing the bigger clubs to "have their way" seems to have gone out the window. Now, we'll find out if it is true that Kane wants to stay at Spurs because he loves the club, and because he wants to keep his family settled.

Personally, I'm suprised it ever got this far, as I thought Kane would have the PL goalscoring record on his mind, and he didn't strike me as the type who would want to play outside the UK. And, no disrespect to Bayern (top club and I'm sure Munich is a nice city), but they never feel like an overly exciting choice of club to play for, given the Bundesliga is that predictable. If it had been Real Madrid or Barcelona, then fair enough. Sure, Bayern are bigger than Spurs, but Kane would pretty much have his choice of clubs, and salary, next year.

Simply not true. If he stays, he can pick his club next year. He simply reduces his chances of winning trophies this season, but still can pick a club to go trophy hunting next season and beyond. Besides "trophy hunting" is still a personal goal :)

Agree with first sentence though. If he doesn't go to Bayern now, I'd be shocked Bayern even went this far in the process. They'd look ridiculous if he just said "sorry, not interested"

Agree with you and sums up what I've said all along. I feel he would have preferred to go to an English club if he did leave, and still have a good chance of getting that goal record. He can go to Bayern and win a couple of unmemorable titles on easy mode, if that's what he really wants. And if he does go, fair play to him, the best player I've ever seen in a Spurs shirt and probably ever will see in my lifetime. He's earned the right to finish his career however he likes.

My mate once gave his girlfriend an indication that he wanted to marry her...

Edson Alvarez has joined West Ham too. They waited a while but they're suddenly chucking some money around.

Think it's a lot of negations for the right price

I mean it's rumoured to be 30 for maguire and 30 for JWP but their respective clubs wanted 40 and 50 million at first

We maximised our rice sale and now making sure we don't get rice tax on every transfer

I'm actually impressed with the negations

I mean even paquata, turns out he has a 85 mil release clause active from June 24 .. that's really good negations .. get talent in but the clauses take ages to activate and it's a good price

If city want him you can have him . 85 mil is your starting point .. or I'll be reasonable 60 plus cole Palmer but not on loan. Cheers

I don't think you have the right word here?

But yeah, in a week West Ham have gone from signing nobody and looking in trouble, to making a handful of very good signings. It is still a risk to leave it late though, they've not trained much with the team etc so may take longer to settle in.

I’m not going to lie, I’m pleased to see Maguire off the books. Pleased for him, as he can reboot his career, and pleased that the club can move on from what was becoming a distraction. The £30m is a nice bonus, and it removes a big number from the wage bill.

I have been very critical of the player for some time. He’s not up to it. But I will never criticise his attitude. Publicly he has never complained about his situation, has always given the club, manager and his teammates his full backing, and has remained professional and dignified throughout. Everything Ronaldo wasn’t, in fact.

I hope he is successful at West Ham. He deserves it.

Our draft for Fantasy Football was last night. I was 3rd pick, and Halaand and Salah had gone. I had a dilemma. Kane, or someone else???? I used up all my time, and then picked De Bruyne. The guy after me then went for Ollie Watkins!?????

Kane was overlooked for a few more turns, but inevitably someone picked him. A Spurs fan :)

Really don't get how united didn't go all out for him. Even Newcastle tbh. Challenge city

Both are hamstrung by FFP

United need to get rid of a lot to help balance the books

Newcastle have other areas that needed filling as a priority with the money they can spend

Neither team would spend £100mil on a 30 year old

Out of interest, are Bayern going to be the only offer. Would be interesting to see if any other clubs were waiting to see if Levy would accept a number before coming in with a later bid. Would certainly save a lot of time and effort to let someone else do the hard work before putting your money on the table. I cannot believe that Bayern would be the only bidders.

We prefer to buy wingers and convert them lol 🤣 to be fair Antonio and arnarkavic did well

Next will be Bowen and Cornet

So really need more wingers
Is Areola going to start this season by the way? Just looking at the old FPL team and he's only 4.0 so could be a shout if he does. Or will it still be Flappyhandski?
