I wonder how similar the Saudi league flooding the game with cash and pinching the best players and those on the down slide compares to LIV golf?

Some people slagged off the LIV golfers but the same doesn’t seem to apply to the Saudi bound footballers.
Every single one of them is a pathetic excuse for a human being and they may as well have blood on their hands.

Will that do?

Anyone else think that Wrexham and Notts County would concede 10 between them in the first games of the season

Does it extend to Barbara who works part time in the Newcastle Ticket office? Always knew she was a wrongun with blood on her hands.
Of course this is where it becomes nuanced. Unlike elite footballers it’s much more difficult for poor old Barbara to up and leave her job but if I was her I’d be making every attempt to find another job asap.

And this is actually a very good point. Barbara no doubt is a die hard Toon fan. She will see a change in her club she never thought possible in her lifetime. I suspect that she will begin to watch very good football. She may well see a massive change in the stadium facilities. Also the training facilities may well be improved to world class standards. The corporate side will improve. All this with a massive injection of cash that Mike Ashley was never going to invest.
The revenue that will be brought into Newcastle on match days will be immense helping both the club and local economies.
Why do I say that, because at City we have hundreds of Barbara’s and they don’t give a jot where the brass comes from. The Area of Manchester where The Etihad is has gone from the wastelands to the eastlands. It is still improving and it is still improving Barbara’s life.

...and I guess, by extension, that anyone who lives in the UK should be looking to emigrate, in protest against the long relationship that the UK has had with Saudi in terms of military arms sales?

If they’re aware of the atrocities and had other options in life, I’d say yes.
Oh okay wonderful, I'll let a good chunk of my friends and family know theyre a pathetic excuse for a human being with blood on their hands 👍.

As someone has mentioned earlier, we Brits have sold military arms to the Saudis for 60 years. Where I am in the Northwest its estimated that something like 30,000 jobs are connected in some way to the sale of those arms to the Saudis. There aren't 30,000 alternative jobs for those individuals to go into.

To make such sweeping generalisations about people and declaring them all morally corrupt is just ridiculous.

But then most of the drivel you post on here is.

I personally believe that is a step further than needs to be taken. There are degrees to this.

So you ignored the “had other options” part of what I said to make an exaggerated point? Not unusual.

Seems like a foul in the penalty area isn’t a penalty in the championship.
