Keeping an eye on Newcastle's kits for future seasons... in 2024/25 I can see the home kit stripes being very very dark green rather than black. They'll just ease it in slowly.
The owners have so far delivered a master class in PR up here. They know there are certain lines in the sand and the black and white stripes are top of that list. They wont touch the 1st team kit but 2 and 3 are fair game.

I dunno, remember those Chinese owners of Cardiff who made the home kit red because they consider red lucky? I think they reverted back after a couple of years of backlash though.

They were muppets though. The Toon lot are being very well advised and would not make such a clumsy mistake. So far, and it so far, they are smashing it every time. I know people don't want to hear that but they are.

I think even his set piece delivery will be useless. He plays in a position where we have zero other options, all our 'number 10s' were cleared out while we played the pathetic 3-4-3 system. I do think there's something not quite right about him - seemingly no other interest in him, doesn't get many England caps despite fans' insistence - could be an attitude problem, I don't know. But as I say, he gives us something we don't have from anyone else. Can't see him being a total flop when we've seen what he can do.
Having watched him at the King Power for the past few years I think that he’ll thrive for Tottenham. I’ve never seen another player that can turn and make space from a tight position like he can.

lol, I just spotted a typo in my post you quoted, I meant useful not useless. Anyway, yes, as I said we've not really replaced Eriksen in a few years since he left, but Maddison can be that player.

Anyone sniffing around Emi Martinez can get lost.... :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO:

Really hope we don't sell for anything other than a silly high price for a GK.

I would think he could be replaced to some degree. I love the man, love the passion he shows and he's easily the best keeper I've seen at Villa - so I hope we don't!

I get all of that, but why not sell him last summer? You have lost his wages but you also wrote off an asset.
Is it that much of a loss? Paid £18 million for him. 13 years of him then let him leave for free

He was on a lot of money ,would be a stumbling block for lot of clubs but now he can go back to Spain for free

His stock has fallen a lot he prob wouldnt command too much of a fee

Carvalho out an szoboslai in.... Not the kind of business I was expecting us to do. I'd still like to see a right back bought in then I'd be content.

He wasn't out there as available. Maybe no one would have come in but surely it would have been better to try? Letting any player run a contract down is poor business.

What's the other option? Keep him on a big wage when you don't want him?
