I don’t disagree, but if Liverpool miss out on Champion’s League football a year after winning a title and then bolstering the squad with half a billion quid’s worth of new players, the board have a massive decision to make.

They do - same decision they had to make in 23 after missing out on CL

Thankfully with Chelsea being as bad as they are we might scrape in

They need to give him one more season, he got lucky last Season in that Klopp left him a superb squad who knew their role.

He didn’t change very much, this season he’s changed how they play and it hasn’t been a success, add to that the change of personnel, he needs to get them back next season or he’s gone, imo.

It’s very much 50/50 what happens in the summer , going to be a transition away from the likes of Salah etc and Slot only has a year left on his contract

I am starting to sound like a broken record but the players are not putting in the required effort.
It’s debatable if that is on them or the manager or a bit of both.
One thing for sure is in this situation it’s always the manager who goes.

As a Liverpool fan I’m the same as every other football fan the minimum I expect is the players to put a shift in for the team.

It’s been a very frustrating season in this regard and there were signs of it last season.

If they keep slot then can see a lot of players moving on, if they keep both him and the players then can see next season being a struggle as well as they cannot seem to play the style he wants.

The odd thing is that Utd got rid of Amorin because the players could not perform to his style Of play. They brought in a Caretaker manager in Carrick who is on fire. Be interesting to see what happens at Liverpool Should Slot go. Could Alonso or Gerrard be the answer with there style of play.

The way Klopp wanted to play and the way Slot wants to play are very different.

If the club decide to keep slot then think quite a few players could be moved on or find their playing time reduced.

There is no guarantee that changing the manager changes the fortunes either.

I just hope the players put in more effort and the games are more enjoyable to watch (for me as a Liverpool fan, I know you other heathens are enjoying yourselves).

Maybe they need to find a few quid to give to Slot 😉

Is that because they are not buying in to his way of how he wants them to play?

Klopp won the PL and was City’s closest rivals for many years, the players knew their role and played it to the highest level.

If it aint broke…

To be honest I’m not sure if the players are not good enough to play his style or have no faith in it.

I think Klopp was always going to be hard to replace as his style is very much a hard fast pressing game which I think is fairly unusual among top managers.

Also a lot of the top players for Klopp are no longer there and the ones that are left are struggling for form

I doubt the players aren’t good enough to play his style, as others said, if he’d of struggled last season and won the PL this, then he’s genius.

But to make so many signings and go backwards, then you’ve got to spend more to replace those leaving and struggling and I don’t think that fits FSG’s way of doing things.

If it’s not then either Slot will go or next season will be a struggle as well.

The players have the ability but do they have the desire, work rate and commitment that’s also needed?

I’m not convinced they do.

I hope I’m wrong though and Liverpool win every thing next season playing amazing football.

I’m sure everyone on here feels the same 🤣

Theres too many that are 1 season too many, and that is causing issues. Salah is well past his best now, VD is definately now, Konate has become a liability, Robertson has given the ball away too much, Kerkez was ignored by his team mates early on in the season which didnt help him settle or his confidence, Mac Allister is hot and cold, Gakgo always wants to come inside to his favoured foot and everyone knows it, Gravenberch has been down this seaon, and lets not forget it was Slot who got the best out of him last season which Klopp didn't, Dom has been overworked, Bradly is a huge loss, Richard Hughes is repsonsible for Diaz going and lets not forget the huge loss of Jota I think has really hurt the team as a whole, and as much as I love how the crowd sing his song at 20 mins in each game, it needs to finish after this season and let the team move on.
If they keep Slot, I wil not worry. The grass is always greener and I'm sure he is learning more as he goes on.

No matter who is manager It’s going to carry on being a transition - going to be more players arriving in the summer

But if Slot was to go imo it shouldn’t be Alonso who comes in

Golf saved me from watching today.😳

But hearing we were ok first 20 mins but missed some chances again.
You just can’t do that against good teams.

Yes some players are out of form, but Slot still picks them!

What if the players don’t suit Alonso’s style? Do you honestly believe they’d throw another few hundred million at the problem?
