The point is that the referee is not going to automatically stop the game. If the injured player is near the touchline or on the opposite side of the pitch to where the ball is, they can allow the physio on and allow play to continue. If the injured player is interfering with play (or the play is interfering with the injured player) then the referee can stop play. Just needs a bit of common sense - which probably means football will never entertain the ideaSo if the Ref is going to stop the game anyway, it’s not worth considering as the point of the change would be to stop the feigning of injuries.
