James Milner a Legend. 😳
13th on all Time Minutes played in the prem.
only 14,000 mins behind Gareth Barry.
Put that 14k mins into games. 🤔

Can’t see in the list of Prem Records 🤷‍♂️

Is it a modern phenomenon to look to find ways to demean someone’s achievements

Nobody is demeaning anything. They are just highlighting a few more supporting statistics.

Not thinking a player is a "legend" is hardly demeaning the player. It isn't like anyone was calling him garbage or a bad professional.

Not a single soul here has demeaned his efforts and professionalism. You've just exaggerated his status and everyone is disputing that!

Of course he efforts are being demeaned

He is the Prem leagues record appearance holder
People admire the professionalism of Milner, respect his longevity. They also respect his ability as a PL player. He doesn't come close to PL legend however on anyone's list, well obviously apart from one person's list 🤷

Such is the longevity of Milner's career, he has now scored in the Premier League against goalkeepers born in the 1960s, 1970s, 1990s and 2000s.

"An absolute legend of the game," is how he was described by former Middlesbrough keeper Mark Schwarzer on BBC Radio 5 Live.

Even AI calling him a legend 😉

I’ve not seen 1 negative post here about Milner 🤷‍♂️

He just doesn’t belong on a list with players like Shearer,Henry,Rooney,Lampard…..

Facts 😉

It is your opinion yet you try to batter everyone else to agree with it. As per usual. You do not allow anyone else to have an opinion that differs from yours and will fight to the death to have the last word. It must be exhausting.

Hold on a minute - I put up a single post with my opinion that he is a Prem legend -

I haven’t said anyone is wrong , yet I have been told I’m wrong

I haven’t said anyone can’t have a differing opinion

I'm sorry but he really isn't. He's been an excellent professional but he's squeezed out the last 4-5 years or so bit by bit. He's a solid pro, but not even close to legend.
Nah, his fitness must be out of this world to still be doing it in the top division and contributing to a decent side. Credit where it's due, he's had an exceptional career. He was very underrated at his peak too.
