So now we have all calmed down a bit. Re the disallowed goal, yup I think we can all agree the rules were followed.
Now hypothetically, if the goal was allowed to stand what rules would have to change for that to a goal. personally I have not got a clue. And how often would we see a situation like that again. Has there ever been anything similar to that before.🤔
Handbags.

The ref can give the goal. ( which he did onfield)
Saying “ both players were pulling shirts a bit”

I always thought the onfield ref has the last say. He dosnt have to agree with VAR.
Obviously not.

Their empty seats during each match and you can see why tickets are on general sale

The City fan on the overlap says it because people up North don’t have as much money to spend
Everton have had empty seats at every home game in the new stadium and in a block, apparently Everton guaranteed their ticketing partner so many tickets for every home game.

The company selling them are refusing to lower the price for said area and in some cases charging double.

Tickets are going unsold and fans have asked if these unsold tickets, especially as they are in 1 block and stand out, could be released to local schools 24hrs before a match and the Company have refused.

Everton themselves have said they can’t get involved this season due to the contract.

Had a mate contact me last week to see if I knew anyone up here who could get him a ticket for SLand v LPool on wednesday night.

I’m registered on the SLand Official site due to my local address and get the emails when tickets go on general sale, as of friday there were some tickets available via the Club site, prices were between £350 and…£4000!

God knows what £4000.00 gets you😱

He said thanks, but no😂

Me and the kids are members at United. When both of them are available to come along, getting tickets is really difficult, unless they’re both happy to sit alone in another part of the ground. Three together is really hard work, and certainly my daughter doesn’t see the point in going to sit alone.

Now my daughter is at uni and son working shifts, it has freed me up to go a lot more regularly, and thankfully getting single tickets is a little more straightforward. I still have to take time to sit viewing a fixture on the app, hitting the refresh button to see if tickets are returned and made available for sale. But more often than not I can get something, albeit I’m still paying between £65 and up to £90 depending on seat.

If I wasn’t a member, there are hospitality tickets still available for the remaining fixtures this season, but the cheapest seat for the cheapest game is £199. The cheapest hospitality tickets still available for Leeds is £399. Liverpool is up to a grand. And I hear rumours that some of those hospitality packages actually include a meal at Lancashire Cricket Club rather than OT itself.

It’s a licence to print money.

I mean, Haaland well and truly fouled the Liverpool player. Ultimately, if the referee ignored that, he might as well say he doesn't care about the laws of the game. There is no subjective argument that can say there was no foul.

It was a strange incident, so I can perfectly see why his initial decision was to let the goal stand. But, and we dont often credit VAR, the existence of VAR did give us the correct decision in the end

And if Szobzslai didn't want a red card and suspension, he should have just not pulled Haaland back in the first place

Add to that Sponsors inviting non-football fans and it makes me mad.

I get it’s a business, but your normal guy in the street has no chance.

Yes I agree.
All I’m saying is the ref did have a choice!
But he chose the VAR option.

How many times have we discussed the ref going to the monitor and not having the balls to say “ I’m sticking with my original decision “ he could have done that.

Wether it’s right or wrong is debatable.

The ref chose the rules at the end of the day 🤷‍♂️

Robert Lee had a goal disallowed for Newcastle against Brentford after shooting from inside his own half.

The reason why the goal was disallowed?....the opposition keeper had tried a poor through ball (that was intercepted by Lee and hit towards goal pretty much instantaneously) towards a player who was flagged offside. Approximately 2 seconds from when the Brentford keeper played the ball to when Lee returned it towards goal.

What! They do it all the time.
Like how a foul isn’t a yellow in the first 20 minutes but identical foul in the second half is.
That’s interpretation, once VAR showed him the exact rule his hands were tied, he was wrong to award the goal and ignore the grabbing of shirts!
