I'm not sure we are allowed to answer that in here?

I heard Germany suggested they might not. But, it is probably an easier decision to make when your football team is poor. If they were one of the hot favourites to win, maybe they'd be less inclined to suggest they wouldn't turn up

Not saying it’s the same by a long way, yet, so nobody mention Godwin’s Law, but Jesse Owens’ performances in Berlin in 1936 made more of a lasting statement to the world than his boycotting it would have achieved.
I think everybody should go and take every opportunity to show a “Rest of the World” United front.

That’s up to the FA to decide.

On a personal level, without going into the politics of it all, I wouldn’t feel safe from the authorities over there at present. Without the comfort I wouldn’t spend the money now in the hope that things improve by the summer.

Especially given how much tickets for games are.

A few years ago, we all had a bit of fun talking about a potential North American Golf trip during the World Cup. Start in Canada and take 2/3 weeks driving towards Mexico (or vice versa), watching games and playing golf on the way. Not a trip I'd particularly relish now.

I’ve always believed sports should stay out of politics, but unfortunately that went out the window quite a few years back.

I’d love UEFA to remove all Teams that they have jurisdiction from it.

It won’t happen though and it we’ll be told it was the greatest World Cup that’s ever been held.

Should we send a team? At the moment I would say I’m on the fence.
Would I be happy if all of Europe pulled out? Yes

If we were the only team to pull out the repercussions would be huge in my opinion to the whole country.

Having said that I’m not sure I’ll watch it, and I love national competitions

Puts the hysterics over the approaching World Cup into perspective.

Yet FIFA and the Qatari government put the official death toll as 3, yes 3, plus another 35 deaths of workers not on site, ie from car crash or other causes.

Even when the Guardian article was fact checked the research said:
“Amnesty International nor The Guardian ever claimed that all these people died on stadium construction sites, or indeed even in the explicit context of the 2022 World Cup. Both figures refer merely to non-Qataris of various nationalities and in various occupations who have died in Qatar in the past decade.”

We also never had the risk of going to War with Qatar or had Qatar rammed down our throat every day on every news report.
