Surely no one touches him if this loan spell doesn’t work out.

By far and away the biggest satisfaction I get from Amorim’s time at United so far is the fact that he appears to have been pivotal in getting the likes of Sancho and Rashford out of the club. There was no way he could hope to take the club forward whilst such divisive characters remained in the dressing room.

The reaction of the United players on the Anfield pitch after the game last weekend was even more satisfying than the win itself. There is a togetherness about the squad which has been missing for years. They are playing for one another and, it seems, they are also playing for the manager.

I don’t know if the last three games are another false dawn. We’ve seen so many since 2013 that another would come as no surprise. Only a few weeks ago I had about had enough. Things appeared to be going from bad to worse.

But not only have United just won three on the spin, they have also apparently found a way of winning against teams in the top half of the league - something we have struggled with for too long. And they have a front three which seems to be gelling, in front of a midfield which seems to have found a way of preventing teams overrunning them.

All of which means we’ll get thumped at Forest this Saturday.

Despite clear weaknesses that need addressed in centre mid and full backs, along with a deeper squad in other areas, things feel so much better now.

Like you said, there appears to be a much better team spirit. Even when things were not going so well earlier in season.

It used to feel only Bruno woukd genuinely be happy to receive the ball, even when the going was tough. But Cunha has a real charisma about him, and feels like the sort of player who thrives when things are tough. A fighter. Meanwhile, Mbeumo is a real powerhouse, worker, great first touch, and wont give the opponents a monents rest.

Meanwhile, and early days, but Mount and Shaw seem to be staying fit. Shocker

I hope we are developing more leaders, experienced players, so that the teenagers are not thrust into loads of games and suddenly expectations are far too high.

Of course, the above positivity comes after 3 wins on the bounce and not out of October. I'm still eying 18th place ij the league, and smile more when we increase the gap. But I definitely feel a stronger team is developing

It is odd that when I slagged him off last season, and also said I've never really seen what the hype was about, a couple in here were keen to counter that.

Apparently he was great in Germany, very good at Chelsea, and it was mainly ETH's fault, and the culture, that made him a failure at Man Utd.

Well, not changed my mind. He is a twerp. Absolute waste of space in my view. Much worse than Rashford. Rashford always had very high potential. I just think Rashford had a huge loss in confidence, and needed to get away from the limelight, the British media/fan limelight anyway.

I also think Garnacho could well be in the Sancho category. Young Man Utd player, would have loved him to be a success. But pretty quickly, I always felt he was another one with a huge attitude problem. Entitled. Big ego.

You do realise both things can actually be true?

He's obviously a proper pillock but he was very highly rated at City, did well at Dortmund and for England. That's why Utd signed him. It didn't work out at Utd but he started well at Chelsea on loan before reverting back to the player he was at Utd.

Garnacho has an even bigger ego but he's also miles better than Sancho. He'll become a star in Italy or Spain, not sure Chelsea suits him due to their scattergun approach to transfers.

When he signed for Utd I was wondering what all the fuss was about. What exactly he brought to the table that Rashford on the left was already doing and he certainly wasn't a better player than Mason Greenwood on the right.

One of my regular golf partners is a Chelsea fan. He already hates Garnacho with a passion. I didn't see the game at the weekend, but he said that, after his goal, Garnacho did absolutely nothing of note bar sulking when he was hooked.

Sounds familiar.

Sancho was very highly rated at City. Him and Foden were two peas in a pod. Sanchos fall from grace at City was him saying “ I want £30,000 a week and the promise of first team football every week”. Pep never promised first team football to KDB.
The best bit of football business City did with Sancho was a sell on clause. 👍

I had some sympathy with Sancho those first few month.

I always thought he had been signed as a replacement for Greenwood on that right side, the long term plan being to play Greenwood through the middle. But all that was undone by the second coming of Ronaldo.

Said it then, and still think it to be the case now, Ronaldo was a signing which caused Solskjaer a whole host of problems, primarily when it came to Sancho, a player the club had pursued for months. All of a sudden, he didn’t fit.

None of that excuses his subsequent petulance.

Billysboots has already said a lot of what I was going to say but I'm not sure if Ole was going to move Rashford up top and play Sancho on the left. Or he bought him as Martial was going to be the striker and Sancho, Rashford and Greenwood could rotate as wide forwards. People forget how good Martial was when he was fit and up for it.

Ronaldo coming in was a no brainer but it then ended up putting a few noses out of joint due to less playing time.

Not many are, he's an absolute baller ....................................... and plonker!

Looks like he's going to Barcelona in the summer but Utd have a 50% clause, so will make a fair whack from the deal. No chance he stays in France.

Utd can look forward to getting some money in 2050 then 😖

Barca still owe City £12 million and a host of other clubs money 😖

In fairness - nobody is going to be happy about being subbed off having been subbed on in the first place. And Barkley was not the player he came off for, he did 'shake hands' (or have some interaction) with the player replacing him. Maybe he was grumpy because of his own poor performance rather than at the manager?

Wow, what a mess at Celtic.
The major shareholder totally assassinating Brendan Rodgers' character rendering him a lot less employable would have otherwise been.
This'll rumble on for a wee while.

Martial being fit and up for it often coincided with those days I played flawless golf.....

None of the usual "we would like to thank (insert managers name) for all his efforts and we wish him well for the future. However, we both came to a mutual decision that this was the right time to go our separate ways"

A player now looking to find huge success in the mexican league. Played 7 games (playing an average of 35 minutes per game). Scored no goals or made no assists yet, but I'm sure they will start flowing soon once he starts playing a full half of football more regularly.

29 years old, you'd have thought he could have done better with his career when you saw his potential as a younger player. But just seemed to be the sort of guy who was never enthusiastic about anything. I suppose it is difficult to tap into your full potential if you are not that excited and driven about getting there.
