I assume the referees are doing the usual, and no longer giving corners if the keeper holds on to the ball too long?

Just checked how long City's keeper held onto it, after it appeared long. And crowd reacted to it. Was 13 seconds. Is the rule 8 seconds?
The ref was doing the countdown yesterday at Turf Moor, though it did only happen to the Burnley keeper.

Arteta said that Arsenal played better yesterday than they did last year against City. Last year Arsenal won 5-1

I guess Arteta is more obsessed with possession than he is about being able to create chances

I’ve said this before but I believe Arteta has so much blind faith in his way of doing things that he believes it’s the only way to play and can’t admit when he got it wrong or that he’s stifling all that talent.

I have to say I had a wry smile yesterday.
Arsenal went all City. Loads of possession but no real end product. City certainly missing some key players.
Then City time wasting, I lost count the amount of times it happened against City in the past, now City are doing it.
I suppose City are learning more dark arts.

Is that not the way of most football managers?
In fact, is it not the way of most managers of any sort?
Not all, but most.

Learning? Did Pep's teams not pretty much invent the tactical shirt pull on the player breaking out of defence before he could create a counter attack? One of his less positive imports to the Premier League.

😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂

From a team that had Ferdinandho - the king of the dark arts

Is it a modern phenomenon where there needs to be some sort of “record” after each match

Seems like Arteta is the first manager to go 5 games unbeaten against Pep 🤷‍♂️

Along with 2024 champions , most points over 3 years the trophies are pilling up at Arsenal

Listening to them over the weekend and again this morning they must be getting close to be the most deluded around - and driven by AFTV

Thought I was going to need to take Sanchez out of my fantasy team due to suspension, but it turns out he's suspended for a League Cup game midweek. 😂 Isn't that a bit ridiculous? They probably would have rested him anyway. Surely the league needs to look at that and make the suspensions competition specific. Yet another thing that favours big teams since they rotate players for the League Cup anyway.

It’s because the “league” cup comes under the umbrella Leagues etc and it was just a one match ban - surely the lower club would prefer to have Sanchez playing though 😂
