What’s the vibe on the Utd forums Arthur?
Please tell me you’re referring to the tv channelsThere is a lot of flicking back and forth at the moment![]()
The irony is that you don’t realise that my digs in the post re West Ham’s council house jibe actually come from Utd fans. Did you not know that Utd fans regularly call City for playing in “ the council house”.I’d say like all fans your bias as being a supporter blinds you to the arrogance, pettiness and defensiveness of your club. This isn’t a dig by the way it’s a genuine observation of every single fan up and down the country myself included when defending my own club.
You’ve highlighted it yourself in your digs in this post at West Ham moving to a council house, suggesting your own fans are toned down which btw isn’t true no fans are toned down at any club we just don’t see our own faults only that of others. As for the 115 reasons that’s not the fault of other fans for being annoyed at that, that’s the fault of your club for committing the offences whether you choose to accept that or not it’s a matter of fact in the public eye the trial is still ongoing.
Perhaps time for everyone to acknowledge each fan base has its own problems and none of us are perfect instead of resorting to playground tactics and constantly bating each other. But I don’t have a dog in the fight just an observer on the outside looking in.
Gonna be honest mate I haven’t read the full post because the first few sentences proved my point with how defensive they are. We are all biased towards our own club and fan base and your latest post proves my point by again deflecting elsewhere. The irony is that you don’t realise that my digs in the post re West Ham’s council house jibe actually come from Utd fans. Furthermore did you know that when City planned to name a Stand after famous player the Utd fans hijacked the vote to name the stand the Colin Bell stand so they could call it the Bell end.
I have never been upset with The Etihad being called the council house or actually sitting in the Bell end.
So why get upset coz your ground is called the swamp. So Utd fans are touchy because they have been poor for 10 years. Seriously. They being a City fans for 30 odd years and being on the end of “ Banter”. It was hilarious when Utd had there
“ counter” up in the stadium for how many years City had not won a trophy. Did City fans come on here getting upset saying they had had enough.
Re defend my club with rose tinted glasses. Er I don’t think so. The Glaziers are poor at Utd. But they having Peter Swales and franny Lee as owners. Sweet lord it was purgatory.
I will sing the praises of my club and say when they are Rammel.
But through rose tinted glasses at 62 yr old. Seriously. I have seen enough rubbish football over the years to be a bit more sincere when things are going well.![]()

FA to investigate Crystal Palace fans' Evangelos Marinakis, Morgan Gibbs-White banner
The FA is investigating a banner unfurled by Crystal Palace fans that depicted Nottingham Forest owner Evangelos Marinakis holding a gun to midfielder Morgan Gibbs-White's head.www.bbc.co.uk
I thought it was funny to be fair!
Grown men actually took the time to put a bedsheet on their dining room table and paint a picture of Mr Marinakis and Morgan Gibbs-White on it!![]()
But are those 115 reasons facts when no breach of the rules have yet been proved.Gonna be honest mate I haven’t read the full post because the first few sentences proved my point with how defensive they are. I’m not trying to call you out on anything was merely point out facts about fans bias and that you cannot complain people have 115 reasons to hate you when those reasons are factual and awaiting legal decisions. Fair play stand up for your club I would do the same but don’t get grumpy when people do the same back and claim City are everyone’s second club to try and prove a point as they’re really not
Anyway have a good day mate and I appreciate the rum recommendations I’ve made a few purchases off the back of them.
It’s still 115 reasons for fans to factually dislike them until proven innocent regardless. But are those 115 reasons facts when no breach of the rules have yet been proved.
Ah! The old guilty until proven innocent argument. It’s still 115 reasons for fans to factually dislike them until proven innocent regardless.![]()
I have said repeatedly I think that City are guilty of some of the charges. Factually they are. Some of the UEFA charges were dismissed because they were time barred. Am sure the premier league don’t have a “ time bar” on there charges. That said. City had no choice but to overspend otherwise they would now be in the same boat as Newcastle are now.Ah! The old guilty until proven innocent argument.
I am not a Man City fan but I find the whole PSR & FFP farce to be nothing but an attempt to protect the status quo and the position of the "legacy's clubs. All of whom have in the past have been guilty of financial massaging.

Yes exactly that. That’s the rules that were set in place and everyone had to follow it’s not hard to understand. So until they’re proven innocent then rival fans will assume guilt. Quite a natural scenario, can slate the legacy clubs all people want but rules were introduced going forward not retrospectively happens in all sports, golf included.Ah! The old guilty until proven innocent argument.

Of course they had a choice that’s a silly statement. They chose to spend the money just as they equally could have chosen not to. That really is no defence in any sort of court Newcastle know the limitations and could spend so much more but they’re choosing not to in order to abide by the rules. You don’t have to like it but they chose to do it and also voted on the rules so have to abide by it and answer for it. No different to my club we’ve been a shambles for years until recently because of choices the board made that left us on the brink and we’re just starting to claw our way out.I have said repeatedly I think that City are guilty of some of the charges. Can you please stop talking sense you know nobody likes thatThey are rules that all clubs voted on not just “legacy” clubs
Not liking rules isn’t a defence for potentially breaking them or in the case of the UEFA rules breaking them

UEFA, led by then-President Michel Platini, instigated Financial Fair Play (FFP) in the 2011-12 season to stop clubs from spending beyond their means and to promote financial stability and sustainability in European football. The rules were a response to a significant trend of clubs losing money, incurring debt, and overspending, which threatened the long-term viability of the sport and its competitive balance.
Why FFP was introduced:
- Financial Instability:
Many European football clubs were spending far more than they earned, accumulating unsustainable levels of debt and jeopardizing their existence.
- Preventing "Financial Doping":
Platini called for the rules to prevent the practice of clubs using external wealth to outspend rivals, which he believed was ruining the game.
- Don’t let anyone have you believe that ffp was instigated by clubs. The above clearly states who started off FFP.
- Oddly enough Platini stated ffp would stop the overspending of clubs from
Ruining the game.
Just google what happened to Platini
Regardless it’s still an irrelevant argument to state they had no choice when the rules were in place and they still chose to3

I’m glad Everton won their first game as my dad was a blue.
My dad played for Wrexham so their my second team I look for their result.
