Looks like Sancho has rejected yet another move, this time to Roma. It's absolutely obvious now that his game plan is to simply sit it out, he doesn't want to move as he knows he can sign a pre-contract in January on bumper wages as there won't be a transfer fee to pay. He embodies everything that is wrong in football but also highlights how poorly United were at transfers by chucking huge contracts at players with seemingly very little thought for the future. You can hate Sancho as much as you want (and I do) but this is entirely of United's own doing.
I think your post is absolutely spot on.
Sancho(add any other entitled player) is for me the epitome of where the game is going wrong.
It used the to the game for the common working class man.
The money and entitled lives these people think they deserve is disgraceful.
It’s time fans/society started
Putting them in their place.
Great post 👏👏👏

Whilst I completely agree with the sentiment of this, part of me thinks though the player is showing greed and stealing a wage the fault lies almost entirely with the clubs for paying such huge contracts with no comebacks.

Can’t remember his name but remember the first occurrence of this being a Chelsea player years ago literally refusing transfers because he was earning so much money in his words “I’m better off sitting in the bench as reserves games than moving clubs”. I want to say I was Winston Bogarde, I may be wrong but I know it was a Dutch defender who absolutely flopped only played about a dozen or so games there but, was on such a big contract he just sat there with nothing the club could do and I think he retired after instead of moving clubs as he’s raked in millions as an unused player. So it’s not a recent occurrence with players.

I think it was Winston Bogarde.
I know im thinking of a perfect world but surely clubs should arrange transfer fees and wages in line with huge bonuses if successful.
The trouble is we all run/ see businesses as a profit making organisation and that is not how football clubs are run.
All I have learnt and experience I have acquired in the business world doesn’t work or make sense in football.
Sancho was just an example given and if I was payed 250k a week like hell would I give that up

Any particular action you have in mind? Pitchforks?
There are plenty of far more important examples of overpaid miscreants in our society who have caused immeasurable damage and walked away with a fortune.
I think we may be in danger of taking the cake and circuses a bit too seriously.

Nothing in particular I had in mind.
I would like to see contacts introduced where the players were paid in accordance to their clubs final league standings ( and where they may be involved in European competitions).
Let’s call it a bonus for argument sake

I thought at the time he would be a good buy, if a little overpriced but the wages were way over the top. It seems his personality was a red flag that was overlooked.

And this just shows how misguided were those who criticised United managers for failing to get a tune out of this overpaid leech. Another whose attitude has absolutely stunk the place out.

Not ideal to lose the first game but we were the better side IMO. Hadn’t realised Saka was playing until the final few minutes. Cunha, Mbeumo, Mount, Dorgu had brilliant games. Arsenal CB’s won’t have many harder games this season. Difference was simply that we have very average keepers.

Not seen the game as I’ve been away golfing but my lad, who is very vocal when we play badly, says United were the better side. And all the reports I have seen online have said pretty much the same.

At this stage of a season the performance is important, and it sounds as though the players seem to have grasped what Amorim wants from them and that the new signings have made a significant difference in the ability to put the plan into practice.

No need to fear a trip to Grimsby after all.

I watched his performances for Dortmund and he looked ok. Didn't set the world on fire initially when he same to Utd but was willing to give him some time.
However it soon became obvious that there was nothing he was offering that Marcus Rashford and Mason Greenwood weren't already doing and better at it as well. Rarely beat a man, his shooting was iffy and final ball lacking.

I said it at the time and I will say it again. City were ripped to bits from all angles for letting him go to Dortmund. The greedy sod wanted a massive fee and guaranteed football as an academy player. Nothing has changed.
Irrespective of Sancho, the Utd dressing room must of been poison with players like Greenwood, Garnacho, Rashford etc etc.

Wasn’t the best of games to watch. Would probably say on balance the right team won but that’s purely because how poor Everton were in 1st half.

Very questionable penalty the arm was never away from the body and it was not in an unnatural, referee has been swayed there by the players shouts and crowd.
Aye, empty vessels make a lot of noise.
