That’s what VAR ref said

Late , high and endangered an opponent so ticked all three of the boxes for a red card
A truly shocking tackle that rightly earned the culprit a red card.

No attempt to win the ball, only intention was to stop an opponent.

I don’t have an issue with it being given a red - it’s the inconsistency

There have been far worse tackles seen this season and both the ref and VAR have bottled it
Trust me there are very few if any tackles worse than having your Achilles raked.

By definition it involves zero attempt to play the ball and could easily put the recipient out for months.

In other news - see Maresca was explaining that Palmers drop in form is down to players marking him 😂

Wonder if Palmer is a touch overrated and has had his 5 mins of top play

And wolves winning again - Man Utd losing at home again , fans protesting

I don't think that's the case. Maybe more a young player becoming the pivotol player in a team way too soon and some level of fatigue plus for sure players/managers/coaches learning how to deal with him better. What I would say is the early cries of Pep being a complete idiot to let him go were premature - not least because the lad wanted away. He'd have less game time had he stayed but in the long run potentially been a better player.

In Pep we trust

There have been worse this season 👍
If, as I suspect, you are referring to the Tarkowski tackle there is a significant difference in that he was playing the ball and it was his follow through that caught McAllister..

Today's incident involved not even an attempt to play the ball.

Guess can’t discount the fact he is at a basket case of a club at the moment

Always was going to be tough for him at City with Foden there

Hasn’t scored in the league since Jan now - prob also doesn’t help that it seems all on his shoulders

It’s late , high , endangering the opponent - potential career ending

Again it’s the inconsistency

A ref and var have seen one and decided it’s not a red - shows a complete incompetence

No one will have issues with the red today

What we need to see is that level of competence for each game

He could be talking about VVD elbowing the Fulham player 🤔

Funny how you never bang on about consistency when Liverpool are the offenders.
It “it was naughty/he got away with one”
End of discussion from you 🤷‍♂️

Why are we going on about an incident that happened ages ago. Officials make the wrong call at times, including VAR. I don't see the point in dragging up wrong decisions of the past after a decision they get right in the present.

On another note, Wolves have been poor at Old Trafford today. But, Utd as expected, are simply useless at scoring goals. So, of course, Wolves eventually get a free kick and score a worldy.

I genuinely hope the board don't waste time trying to get new keepers or defenders in the transfer window. They need to go on overdrive to get players with some personality and confidence in attack. Relying on far too many kids.

That being said, thought Amass did very well today
