That forum can be toxic at times I don’t look any more it’s always the keyboard warriors that are more vocal.
Bit like GM forum😉

Levy has his faults but I tend to think he gets too much criticism sometimes.
I accept the forum will always be very vocal but the BBC pieice also mentioned fans displeasure and so it is clear there is a definite undercurrent of feeling towards Levy and the recruitment process. Is Spurs a club that lets a manager have input or is one where it is on the say so of the director of football and a recruitment team

I think Spurs are guilty of letting managers make the calls and not having a long term strategy. Do they have a director of football? I know Lange moved from Villa to Spurs but not sure on his role there.

They employ managers, back them for 18 months and then sack them. Rinse and repeat.

United at least give their managers 2/3 seasons to try and shape a team in their image before the plug is pulled.

Correct you can’t really criticize Levy for not spending on players, that’s not the problem.

I’ve not got too much of a problem with Levy he’s overseen building one of the best stadiums in Europe and got the club in a good position financially.
We've spent plenty of money - not as much as we maybe could have, but we've still spent a fair amount. I think Levy has been good for the club overall, we're just going through a bad patch currently as the fantastic team that Poch built has now gone it's separate ways, and it's hard to replace players like we had. Like you, I haven't agreed with every decision he's made but I'm not fully Levy out brigade.

The thing is though, Ange is complete turd and he needs sacking now. It doesn't matter what you've done in the past - that's not a reason to stick with a useless manager in the present. When we've got the right man in, he's been given time, like Poch was. We just haven't had the right man in since then.

You knew he wasn't the guy after last season though but still allowed him to spend in the summer.

Need a guy above the manager determining the long term strategy like Brighton have

He had a poor end to last season, but I still think it was worth giving him a chance with this season. However it was clear he didn't know what he was doing by Christmas, and I would have sacked him then.

It was clear he didn't know what he was doing when he first arrived tbh.

Well, not really because he won the first ten games or something silly. By that time the players were already shagged from his mile-a-minute running strategy so the injuries started! This season has been a hell of a lot worse though as we didn't even have the good start to fall back on.

Wouldn’t say that with the teams left in the comp

Tough game in the quarters but the rest of the teams are more than beatable for Spurs
There are very few teams that are categorically beatable for Ange's Spurs. We barely scraped past AZ who are 6th in Holland. I would expect us to lose against Frankfurt who are currently 3rd in Germany. If we got past them, most likely Lazio next who are only 7th in Italy, but we are 14th-15th remember.

Ange is nowhere near as bad as is being said here. He's got a paper thin squad and it's been destroyed by injuries.

He's doesn't help himself by refusing to change tactics but let's be honest, who are Spurs going to get to really improve things? Nothing will change as long as Levy remains in charge. Failed to back Mourinho and failed to back Conte. Spurs are about making money and not about winning stuff under his control, that's the bottom line.

Would like to see them win the Europa League but can't see it based on some of their away performances.

But surely if the squad is thin, the club needs to be looking to develop and bring in back ups. I know they have had to blood a lot of youngsters in Europe as a result of injuries

Talking to a pal who has been a season ticket holder for 20 plus years and I asked him re Ange. Bottom line he loves him and he reckons most Spurs fans that go to the games do as well. He reckons most fans know they have had some shocking injuries and most of the unrest is down to media.
