Chris Wood scored a hat trick for NZ (2nd in as many matches), gets substituted and then gets booked for going into the crowd and signing autographs. That is an official taking things too seriously!
Surprised he has only scored 44 goals in over 80 games. When he is up against opponents like Fiji, Samoa, Vanuatu, Malaysia, Tahiti, Solomon Islands, New Caledonia, Tonga, etc. To a player of his caliber, you'd think it would be the equivalent to me when I'd play for an hour at lunch in the school playground and score 14 goals with a tennis ball.

There probably have been incidents were candidates skin colour was a factor. But in Sol's case this isn't one of them. It’s because he's a div

I absolutely cannot abide the man. He’s not so much got a chip on his shoulder as a ten kilo bag of spuds.

Used to come up against it so often on my previous life. And it used to drive me nuts. I always remember stopping a car for speeding on the motorway one night. There’s the clue. Yes, it was dark, on an unlit section of road.

Got the driver in the back of my car. He was a black fella. And he told me, multiple times, that I had only stopped him because he was black.

As I was writing him up a car came thundering past us in lane three. I said to the fella “What colour was that car that just came past?”. He said “What car? It’s dark.” I said “Quite. So how the hell was I supposed to know what colour your skin was before stopping you when you can’t even see a car?”.

He went rather quiet.

While I don’t think Henderson should be in the squad I don’t think it’s him stopping Gibbs white from being in the squad- he should be there instead of Foden
Originally had 26 in squad and only allowed to name 23 on matchday so 3 were always going to miss out https://www.skysports.com/football/england-vs-albania/live/525554

I assume Henderson is a bit of a comfort blanket fo rthe first game but you have to think going forward we'll want more dynamic players.

Yeah but, before this season, he was rubbish remember?

I was stunned at the time that he was given the Bayern gig and remain stunned to this day.

Just goes to show how much a name and reputation can do for you. So many great players have been bliddy awful at management.

Defo agree with you about certain managers being suited to the relegation fight and others only suited to the fight at the top. I'd wager that Pep, Slot, Arteta and Klopp would be useless in a relegation scrap while Dyche, Allardyce and the like would be useless at the top end.
I don’t think Pep would struggle. He took a struggling Barca team to legendary status whilst getting rid of household names and promoting nobodies who became household names.
Peps problem today was loyalty to players past there best.
Both Vinny and captain Black at Arsenal are doing well having been educated Peps way. Thankfully long gone are the days of the ian Holloway, Mick McCarthy, Neil Warnick merry go round of managers jobs in relegation teams.

Looking forward to Thomas Southgate’s team v Albania tonight. Albania have been impressive under Sylvinho as manager so watch this space re game.

Struggling Barce team ?

Same team that won the CL two years before

And Arteta has won nothing at Arsenal for the last 4 years after winning an FA Cup with Emerys team

Sorry but these are games we should be putting a marker down in. OK so make that a scrappy 1-0 win to England in a drab affair. No doubt those that profess to not following England on here will be out in force later

We certainly should but I saw an excellent piece where Sylvinhio was looking for the best players for the best positions. He really did have a well organised team. Part of the problem is teams do raise there game v England. Be interesting to see how the game pans out.
My Problem is I am Off out for a curry at 6.00pm.

You’re better off.
Watch the highlights if there is any!😉

Once again the fa are a joke

Cunha banned for only 4 games after his second red for losing his temper..

Should have got least 6 games after kudus got 5 for less of a red card offense at spurs

Not to mention cunha assaulted a member of backroom staff last time aswell and was given a slap on the wrist

Hope we challenge the fa. Nothing against wolves it's not fair and consistent

The ban for the first offence was a joke. Anything after that is no shock, it is about what I expect.

Sometimes I think they'll be lenient in most cases, and then suddenly a certain player will do something that they will be happy to make an example of.
