It's just struck me. I'm pretty sure Thomas Tuchel was in the crowd at Forest v Man City last week.

That means he watched Morgan Gibbs-White play a world class pass to assist Callum Hudson-Odoi who had been on fire the whole game and came away thinking "Yeah. I'm gonna pick Phil Foden for his 4/10 performance in that game, rather than either of those two".

Hudson Odoi is another that should be in

Not sure if Gordon will be fit in time

Rashford on loan at Villa, not starting ahead of Watkins, bet he is chuffed

Solanke been hardly playing or scoring in as well.
Apparently, Watkins has 'knee soreness' so maybe asked not to be considered as he would possibly have to withdraw anyway - as will a lot of the squad before they miraculously recover in time for the next club game

Bruno has to be one of the most underrated and underappreciated players of this generation. Gets nothing but stick but churns out world class stats and remains the best penalty taker going.
That's probably because he's a gigantic bell end of the highest order. Which is the first thing anyone will remember about him.

Just been reading an article about Prince William and his support for Villa. He says he goes on forums and enjoys posting about Villa anonymously - @Bdill93, got anything to declare? Seems like a very poor attempt at a name to change William to Bdill :ROFLMAO:

I’ll do some digging on his IP address, and if he’s posting from Buckingham Palace I’ll come back to you……..🤣

I guess this would be my team.

What the hell happened to all our defenders?? How is this the best we have? Tuchel normally plays a back 3 doesn't he? I don't even think we have three playable centre backs. What a disaster.

England squad

Goalkeepers: Dean Henderson (Crystal Palace), Jordan Pickford (Everton), Aaron Ramsdale (Southampton), James Trafford (Burnley)

Defenders: Dan Burn (Newcastle United), Levi Colwill (Chelsea), Marc Guehi (Crystal Palace), Reece James (Chelsea), Ezri Konsa (Aston Villa), Myles Lewis-Skelly (Arsenal), Tino Livramento (Newcastle United), Jarell Quansah (Liverpool), Kyle Walker (AC Milan, loan from Manchester City)

Midfielders: Jude Bellingham (Real Madrid), Eberechi Eze (Crystal Palace), Jordan Henderson (Ajax), Curtis Jones (Liverpool), Cole Palmer (Chelsea), Declan Rice (Arsenal), Morgan Rogers (Aston Villa)

Forwards: Jarrod Bowen (West Ham United), Phil Foden (Manchester City), Anthony Gordon (Newcastle United), Harry Kane (Bayern Munich), Marcus Rashford (Aston Villa, loan from Manchester United), Dominic Solanke (Tottenham Hotspur)

Totally uninspiring selections, if I’m honest. It’s very much a case of same old, same old.

But I suppose the key is how Tuchel chooses to deploy those selected. So I’ll reserve judgement for now.

Is Reece James fit? Is he actually playing at the moment?

No Branthwaite? I'm pleased in that this gives him a rest but on a personal note, hugely disappointed for him.

Not the brave new world I think many were hoping for.
It seems he's been featuring for Chelsea again since mid-January. Unfortunately only a matter of time until he's injured again of course. He's obviously going to be a Tuchel favourite from his Chelsea days anyway. If we are playing a wing back system, then I imagine he starts on the right. It is pretty light on centre backs though if he is doing that. Guehi & Konsa plus one other - could be Walker on the right side or Burn on the left I guess?? Can't really see Quansah starting. Maybe Colwill.

Is Henderson going to be deployed as cheerleader in the dressing room or actually out on the pitch? If it's the latter...... 🫣

I don’t like some of his antics.

But the fact he gets so badly under the skin of opposition fans is the biggest back handed compliment I can think of.

I still remember being there for a midweek game just after he’d signed, and it was very apparent in one of the first games he played for the club that United had signed a gem. His movement off the ball and the spaces he found for himself were both something I hadn’t seen since Paul Scholes was pulling the strings.

Frustrating at times, sure. But a fantastic player all the same.

Am surprised the orange faced Trump love child that is Ben White was not picked. Rumours were that Tuchel was trying to persuade him to come back into the England fold.
