You jest, but I got a pair of Forest socks which I first wore during the game against Man Utd in December. Worn them for every game since and we’ve won all of them! 🤣

I try not to be superstitious but used to be terrible. When I was younger and played hockey every Saturday I had to try and say "come on City" at exactly 3pm every Saturday. Then I became sure I was a Jonah...that one still stays! I pop to the kitchen and we score...yikes now what. Mad.

Looking back objectively Moyes should have left after we won the cup. That was unbeatable. The football in the league that season was awful. The conference papered over it. Moyes kept getting offered various players but turned them down to keep a close knit (but paper thin) squad. Unfortunately now we have a very old squad that we have yes invested but we again need more and more to replace the left backs for example, or the Antonio situation. Moyes bought scamacca. Never played to his strengths, didn't suit so just put Antonio there. Built an over reliance on a bang average player who battered through teams (until he started to try and be clever and then refs would say not a chance lad that's not a foul) now we have almost no strikers on the books except ings who most said legs went years ago ... But panic bought him

Anyways that's a proper ramble.

When he stayed after Europa the league form continued to dive (this continued with j-lo midfield wise) and disgruntlement built. January players like behramha and fornels left for first time as just not given proper chances and ironically we could use fornels now. Wouldn't need to have loaned in soler .. meaning could use the money elsewhere

I wanted potter for a while, good fit.

Forever grateful for Moyes and what he installed into the team

However it was time for both to move on.

This "careful what you wish for" media narrative is incredible misunderstanding of what went on.

No saying fans are perfect, I've always said our fans can be proper "infractions" the whole football culture is ..

Maybe if the correct replacement in the summer had been brought in rather than Sullivan doing the normal "he's ex real Madrid and Spain and free" routine would have been a different story. Would have liked him to turn it round but he didn't seem to be able to get any ideas into the players
Agree with every word of this…Potter has his work cut out that's for sure but there were signs of what he can achieve. He'll need three players this month. A striker, a centre-back and an athletic midfielder. I would sell Kudos to help fund this as he really annoy me, he can be so good then so poor in about 2 seconds! 😄

During football season, international weekends are the worst. And for me, FA Cup weekends are not far behind.

We all hope for the giant kills. But, essentially, most televised games in these early rounds are one way traffic. Almost like trying to get excited about England v San Marino and France v Andorra

Well, that was much easier than I expected.

11 changes and we barely got out of 2nd gear. A comfortable cup win makes a nice change.

Atmosphere was a bit lacking but didn’t help that one huge section wasn’t filled til nearly half time due to them trying to clear ice away from the stands 😅
As well as cup games being an opportunity for those fans who don’t get the chance to go week in and out (due to ticket availability), so it’s always a bit lacking with a few more ‘tourists’ in the stands.

Either way, great day and Danilo was back on the pitch after nearly 130 days going off injured with a broken ankle 🥰🥰
