You can certainly claim that you developed him as a player, but not via your academy. Wallsend did the nuts and bolts of his development. You did the next stage of his progression, but that's a different claim. Very worthy, but different.

What about Alan shearer? Regarded as a Southampton product but was at the same team until 16 again

So it’s the “el sacko” tonight

Who is going to be out of a job tomorrow

O’Neill

Or

Lopetegui ?

Beneath the article on the BBC website speculating about who will win “El Sackico”, most of the commenters in the Have Your Say section have taken serious offence to the use of the phrase!

Here’s a pub quiz type question….

Has there ever been a situation where BOTH managers of two teams who have just played each other have each been sacked after the game? 🤔

Did you know that anyway, or did you look it up?

Who were the managers, what were the circumstances etc?

It came up on a quiz a few years back and also heard it again recently

Monk for Boro and Carvahal for Sheff Wed

Boro won but the team had been inconsistent for a while and were mid table - he was sacked first

Then couple days later Sheff binned their manager off they lost a load and were in a relegation battle
